Ok so ive been Glowy since thursday of last week, Ive had mutiple visits from both the old man and the sith shadows!

And i still havent managed to beat them!!!!!!!!!!!

Its totally ridiculus! how am i supposed to beat them when they are such a high level at this point in my fs career?!?! Im only combat level 74 with only 2 skill points left so i cant gain more skills even if i wanted to! the lowest level shadow is 75 and the other 77 its totally stupid!

Now ive been beaten by them 3 times now and am now waiting on them to attack me for the fourth now i know the devs are trying to reduce the amount offorce sensitives and jedi in the game but it takes the fun out of it for us who want to be jedi at some point!

Now all i want to know is A) has anyone else had this problem and this many tries and B) has anyone got any tips other than just saying "Group"?!?!

Cheers

My thinking would be to get yourself to CL 80 or do one of the following:

Get Doctor 4000 for some healing abilities which will help in battle or

Get a probot droid or something that will give you a bit of help in the battles.

The best option would probably be CL 80 AND some medical to heal while in combat.

Good luck.

Unfortunately, if you are unable to beat the sith now, it will not be any better when you start the village. The sith you fight in the quests are at least this level, some higher.

Well my current template is the following:

Master Brawler,

Master Swordsman,

Pikeman 0442,

Medic 4040,

Doctor 0004 (all the cool short term buffs in this skill branch!)

and this only gives me like 2 skill points to use and only combat level 74?!?!

So id try to get level 80 but i cant respec anymore so?

Looking at the template, you have some things not going for you.

1st. In medic, you have no real healing skills, which means that lack of healing abilities is making things difficult.

2nd. You are in a melee profession. You are very limited in your range. Outside 7 m and you are a sitting duck. Make sure you are using Intimidate. That will help.

Grab some stim C's or D's, and use those withyour basic healing abilities.

Go invest in some psg's. Make sure they are good regen rate, and 2000+ protection. Those will offer some protection against ranged energy.

Well this is my opinion, re do your template. I personally am a master swordsman for massive damage, master tk for not needing armor and powerboost, and 4-0-0-0 in doctor so that I can heal myself. This makes you CL 80 as well, so you should do just fine.

Sorry, best advice I have is 'find a group to hunt with, the more you hunt together, the better team you'll be. Even a duo does more damage than a solo' and a solid foursome rolls over missions almost as easily as pre-CU. A sloppy group will get you dead over anfd over... avoid these.

Second best advice... Bacta Infusion. The buffs are nice... but really pretty cruddy. Heal over Time. I run a TKM/MD (a few spare points in Entertainer, because some days I just feel like hanging out in a bar ) and I can solo these when I feel like it, but I like to group. It takes a god-awful long time to finish a fight... but I almost never fall below 75% health soloing single pulled yellows, or up to 4 blues. More than that spells C-L-O-N-I-N-G.

Also, you are going to have to start thinking about what you'rte going to give up. The noves FS boxes are free... but they don't provide any skill enhancements either. Each of the 24 boxes you need to progress take 1 skill point, and gobs and gobs of regular experience converted. My Entertainer will be slowly (has been actiually) trading in those boxes for the FS ones.

lol, wow. Your template is horrible, thats your problem. Look no further than that. Bite the bullet and grind out something different. Its been said before, if you can't get past this, you don't stand a chance in the village. Phase 4 anyone? There is a one time respec coming if your too lazy to grind it out on your own.

Great advice. I'm also a TKM / MD, had no problems, and highly recommend /bactaInfusion as one of the two best skills from the entire doctor tree ( the other one is /revive at master doc ). Switch to Doc 4000 and keep /bactaInfusion running during the combat.

I like the buffs OK, but if I had to choose between the buffs and /bactaInfusion, I'd ditch the buffs in a heartbeat.
