I've found the first 4 on Endor ok, but number 5 hasn't seemed to spawned yet. Is this a known problem with this quest? I see I have an abandon button, if i do that would it mean that would just reset the number 5 waypoint when i talk to whip again? Or worse abandon the whole thing and I have to wait another 3 months to try again?

I've logged off from the game for several hours so I hope that might have fixed it.

You probably didn't look in a large enough area in the vicinity of your waypoint. Try pulling up your overhead map and zooming it out to it's widest range and looking fora large, somewhat-lopsided green rectangle. That will be the downed ship, typically somewhere within a couple hundred meters of the waypoint.

But hurry -- the phase is about to shift.

Also sometimes it's just bugged and won't appear at all. my 5th ship was missing as well, just make that lovely drive back to the village and get another wp.

I'm on my fifth char doing this quest this week, out of almost 30 missions, two of them didn't spawn a ship, but in the course of making a 300m radius around the waypoint, my quest log updated. If you don't see the ship in the radius, try making a few trips around. I have not seen any ships much more than 300m from the waypoint. If you go around in a decreasing spiral, you may just hit the invisible ship. If this does not work, head back to whip and get another waypoint. Sure, it's another 15-20 minute, but don't hit abandon!

Lol abandon does nothing, i got mad at the quest and hit abandon thinking i would just start fresh from phase 3, well the next day my faith was renewed and i wanted my crystal so i went back to start the quest over figuring i'd have to do it all over again. Nope pick right up where i left off, i hit abandon on the 5th mission and the next day when i figured i'd try it again all i had to do was the 5th and 6th mission. Maybe i got lucky but i hit abandon a few times and nothing happened. Although it's still probably not a good ideal to hit it.
