Dont think so, I helped Loce with Mel this past Sat and he is in the middle of his trials now.

No. Helped another friend do Mel last night. About the sixthseventh person I've helped with Mel's quest since the NGE announcment.
edit: cause i jsut helped another person. i swear i feel like i'm the only person on radiant who has to wait for phase 4

To become force sensitive it seems so as no one can get glowie due to a bug. He does work for the exit quest as other stated. So that is the source of confusion.

I'm getting the feeling that it isn't a glowie bug, but it's on purpose to prepare
for the coming of the NGE.
I'm waiting for the Old man myself.

if you are looking to meet him for the first time. You are out of luck. It is turned off it appears... less a bug and more an indirection. >_<

NO!!!! I finsihed my boxes last night at 10pm was on line a total of 3 hrs game time and got my visit. I was NOT in a player city and I had NOT shuttle hopped. I was out by my shop and was randomly killing things waiting for a friend to reboot his comp when I got my visit. He is alive and well in the game. I have screenies to prove it!

stop giving bad info, the old man is alive and well, several of us have done the mel quest in the past 2 days. i got my visit from the old man last night, i only waited 22 hours, but then again i was stuck playin TC for about 18 of those hours. i am on my 9th paddy trial now. you still have time, get your missions done and get jedi. all you need is 1 skill block and you will be considered an elder. also as per the mouth of TIGGS villege is full and functional till release of enhancments. everyonelost there glowy status when Jabba Palace left foe the day. but you can still complete it. i was not glowy and i did it. Also get your 2nd character now, once enhancements go live, there is no way to get a 2nd character, only those that have it now will get to keep them. good luck
