I'm a bounty hunter with a few SP left, I'm thinking about going up the Luck FS branch. Will this help me with loot on NPC BH missions?

Itdepends on the amount of luck you have. Luck increases the chance of a npc dropping good loot and the more luck you have the better the chance. It works on everything in the game I think even bounty hunter missions.

Uumm...where did you get this? Do you have a Dev post? I'd make sure you do before posting anything like this. Luck affects ONLY credits looted from NPCs. That is it. End of list. Anything else, like what this guy jsut posted, is rumor and nothing more. Awhile back, a Dev posted it was only credits. If you read the stickies above it says Luck affects credits. Luck DOES NOT give you greater chance at some good loot. That is completely random. If Luck had anything to do with loot drops you would see it in every template made. Sorry, but its credits and that is it.

the stickies above weren't dev threads either and many changes have come to the game since they were created. And in the stickies the author even wrote, "there is not enough information..." You really should read them again though.

Some say it will and others say it won't. It does let you loot more credits. I have Luck +2 right now and still loot foraged bugs and warm hats.

Yeh no one knows if it helps with loot (except the devs), the only thing known for sure is credtis, but it is supposed to.

The skill mod reads like so "Luck: you seem to be lucky and this skill mod is an indcation of just how lucky. This will affect things like the amount of credits you find on defeated foes.", kinda vague but it implies it does more than just raises the credits found, whether it does or not remains to be seen.
I haven't noticed a real differance, I went on a looting frenzy when I got my 3rd skill box in Luck, and was disappointed, but keep in mind I'm (the player) has horrible "Luck" so my poor toon possibly suffers from MY bad luck .

This is also my understanding of the luck tree, the Dev's posted that it would affect nothing but credits looted.
I've got luck 3 (100k short of luck 4) and I still get bugs/hats/berrys more often than not..especially from <<>> gold marks

If you read the description of each skills in your skill box, they actually state what that skill will do. Go in game and check the description for luck (Hold your mouse over the first skill box of luck I believe)... it does state that it increases the chance of you getting more credits from a mob. It mentions nothing about loot itself.

Do you have any devs posts confirming what you've said? I'd make sure you do before posting anything like this. The truth is that nobody knows that luck works for. We do know that it affects credits. Do we know if it affects loot drops? No. Could it? Sure. Thats the answer to the question.

No, I actually don't have the post. It was well over a year ago that I saw the post and I didn't keep it. There are others on this forum that saw the post also. So unless this skill has changed since then it only affects credits. If you people want to claim it does because you have it and managed to loot a CA or something that is your choice. I will keep my FS skills that will actually help me when I become Jedi.

I had seen the post as well it is not a farse. Luck will only help the amount of Credits looted. It will not help with anything else. If I can find the post I will post it.
