i'm trying to get FS so that i can enhance my ranged abilities. however i'm having trouble with the starting missions. i talked to the mayor and he sent me to the brawler trainer. the brawler trainer does not give me any missions, however there is a hunter in the room. but the more missions i do for him the more he gives me. any help?

FS is currently broken due to you will not get glowy till it is fixed. I believe the quest you are talking about is the eisley one where he send you to different people, Entertainer, scout, marksman, Artisan, brawler. You will do a series of things for each person then once completed talk to the mayor again to get the badge. I started this on my crafter sometime back and am bugged since I did the marksman one before. All are complete but the mayor gives no badge. If I recall coreectly this one was listed as another bugged one.
