...but the thing is that they destroy them when you're flying past, so storing won't help you.

And yes, i used to lose about 2 bikes a week when i was psending most of my time on Dathomir.

Dathomir is a horrible planet. When the Rebellion wins the war i think we should send all the Imperials off to Dathomir and nuke the starports.

I lost one bike on my first trip and never lost one since. Half an eye on radar, half on the trees (specifically, stump avoiding).Instead of riding straight through, I "thread the needle", turning to maximize the distance between me an any nearby aggro spawns. I don't worry about any spawns with yellow lair squares next to them (=creatures=kinetic damage=nothing to worry about on a swoop). Most of the time, they don't even see me. When they do, I am usually out of range almost a soon as they aggro. Takes only a little longer and saves you the "long walk". I still always carry an extracheap speeder or bike, just in case.

As one of my favorite things to do is stop and kill every NS on the way to the village, i get off and lose about 2-3 bikes every day, for the last month or so.

I've lost about 7-8 swoops from nightsisters, it can really get annoying.

I've had to start buying swoops in crates.

I don't know that keeping an eye on radar is all that useful. Most of the time, the first indication that I've run afoul of one of these "ladies" (and I use that term very loosely), is when I end up suddenly hoofing it cross country. That's about the time my radar finally updates.

I don't know if I'm the only one experiencing this still, but I easily out drivemy radar. I consider radar almost as an afterthought. Its almost like a rear view mirror. Cause once its behind me, it usually no longer matters.

Of course, YMMV.

i have exactly the same problem. the radar is pointless for lloking ahead of you. i'm not that bothered tho, i havent had a bike blown up yet whilst riding to the village

Make crates of Swoops yourself. It's surprisingly cheap.

Buy an Equipment factory.

Each Swoop costs 6400 Ferrous metal (Steel, Iron) and 1600 Non-ferrous metal (Aluminum, Copper).

Get a bunch of it together, like 330k Steel and 82k of Copper.

Give 6400 of the Steel and 1600 of the Copper to a Master Artisan, and have them make you a schematic, then trade the schematic back.

Put the schem, the Steel, and the Copper into the factory.

You'll end up with 50 Swoops in one crate, in a few hours time.

The only stat that matters for Swoops (or any vehicle) is Shock Resistance. If the metal has over 900SR, you'll get bikes in the range of 2300 HAM.

No matter how low the SR is, a Swoop will ALWAYS have at LEAST 1500 HAM. They will decay faster and need more repairs, but who cares - you have a crate of 50.

Takes just a bit of planning and work, and you won't have to worry about Swoops for a long, long time.
