Thread: Cmon Old Man!? Any Ideas?

Just curious how i should wait for the old man? Should i walk around? be inside or outside a city? etc.
Please give me some ideas

Do what you normally do. He comes at random within 1-3 days but away from the major cities.

Very true, no major cities. Player cities are good. I had my visit exactly 24 hours after completing the village. Not a minute later. He came to me after I had shuttled to a player city, within seconds of walking away from the shuttle port. I walked a few feet away from the ticket collector and he spawned right behind me. Had my overhead map on so he was easy to spot.

Be outside of ALL cities and wait 2-3 days

The old man will come to you, as long as you stay OUT of NPC Cities, (i.e. Coronet, Bestine, Dearic, Theed, etc).
If you're in a Player City, that's fine. If you're in the wilderness, that's fine too. Anywhere but an NPC city and you will receive your visit. Just takes a little time sometimes. Patience and time are your allies

i have to contest agianst staying out of npc cities, unless outposts dont count so feel free to correct me if im wrong, but i was talking ot a friend in the rebel outpost on rori (right next to the sp to be precise), ironically enough we where talking about how long it takes for the old when he walked up to us and talked to my friend.

Thanks for posting that Yarble. It may well only be the actual cities rather than all NPC locations such as and including outposts and cities like Coronet.
Nice to hear someone got a visit in an outpost controlled by NPC's.
