Sorry if this has been hammered to death but i couldnt find it here in a way I needed to.
Im not talking about after the Village. Im talking about after you get all 6 steps of the force sensitive "You are glowing with the force"
How long does it take for the old man to come to you? I read (and printed out) the force sensitive guide and I know about some of the tips on getting the old man. However is there other ways that worked for you?
Also, what is the average time that the old man visits you? Or is it just completely random?

I am waiting fot this old codger. Went glowy yestarday morning and I am still waiting. I've tried all the tricks and still the old fart has failed to show his wrinkly old mug.
Spent a small fortune in shuttle fees and now I've decided just to wait it out.
I really do think this system sucks tbh. It's poor to expect players to wait 3 days to progress. I wouldnt actually mind if they made some sort of quest you had to complete before he came that lasted 3 days becuase at least it would give me something to do... oh wait a minute... wasnt that the collection of badges????!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Nope, I have b*llocks all to do but wait for him. It's just a shame I have to pay for the pleasure!
Sorry for the rant, but it's extremely frustrating!

Taking numerous shuttles just to find pity.
Waited a day

I tried all the tricks for a day, got pissed and logged off sitting just outside Coronet. Logged in the next morning and immediately the Old Man popped up. As far as I can tell, it's random.

For some it took about 1 day, for others 3. Some say use shuttles between city orgo off planet. Stay in player citys or stay out of them.
So to me it sounds pretty random, best thing is to just wait it out. Just set up camp somewhere log out, come back at least 24h later and hell pop up.

remembering back to when i got glowy, it took the old man 3 days to visit me

Char 1 - 24 hours and 1 minute after getting glowy I logged out, waited 20 mins and logged back in. Old man arrived within 5 minujtes.
Char 2 - 24 hours and 1 minute after getting glowy I logged out, waited 20 mins and logged back in. Old man arrived within 5 mins.
Char 3 - Logged right after getting glowy, never logged in for 2 days. Old man was waiting when I finished loading. He left after telling me I was obviously too busy and he would come back. After 20 mins he came back again.

Yeah, I was shopping and all of a sudden he was right on my back. I felt a little violated, but it worked out for the best. A watched pot never boils. In other words, just play. He will come.

has anyone informed you that there is a 3 week wait between village phases ? do you have the number to a suicide hotline handy ? i understand your desire to get started, i was pretty anxious too, but he will come when you least expect it. he came up to me when i was standing on the steps to my guild's cantina waiting for a buff.
have patience, you'll need it to get through the FS grind and then on to the jedi grind hehe.
