I dropped Master Weaponsmith to become a Shipwright while grinding the crafting sections... boy was I not surprised when I went to the Village and there is no conversoin for that exp yet.... I have not been to the Village in about a week (having a blast as a Master Shipwright ATM) so I have to ask, is it fixed. If so, what is the conversion rate?
Thanks!

No, devs decided not to include expansion professions into the Jedi madness..

yep..space (and all things related to it) have nothing to do with the FS grind..
And it's not broken, it's by design. Sorry if you thought otherwise..

If it's done this way by design, the designis flawed, not to mention discriminatory. There is no difference between shipwrights and the other elite crafting professions, yet they get force crafting and shipwrights don't.
I have never done anything that could be considered grinding so far. I play he game to have fun, not to master and surrender professions. However, this "feature" forces me to take up a profession I'm not the least bit interested in and grind for it for all it's worth. Otherwise, I'll never unlock the force crafting bonuses. My character is a shipwright/merchant, so I get no convertible XP by playing for fun. I think that's wrong. Don't you?

Since space and Jedi are being kept separate by the devs "just because".... can we by chance get the Devs to disable JTL for Jedi characters? Otherwise, what's the point? Why should Jedi be allowed to camp out aboard their POB yachts and evade the bounty hunters? After all, Luke had nothing to do with space as we all know. Right?
Seriously, I see it as a big copout that they can't implement JTL with Jedi. Lazy perhaps? And don't bother with the "we'd have to revamp FS/Jedi again". Duh, it needs a major revamp as it is, as the current FS/Jedi system has 0 to do with Star Wars. Not to mention that it rewards the veterans (of which i'm a vet) and severely punishes the newer players coming into the game.
Trust me, there's nothing like becoming a new player in an established game and being told "good luck getting this goal anytime soon". Pretty much kills anyeagerness to play the gameright off the bat.

Well I say this to the DEV's
Since your trying to keep JTL as far away from the "ground" game. Make Ship Wright a non skill point profession. That way use ShipWrights can go grind out another profession so we can acctually convert the exp and use the stupid Jedi perks of crafting.
It seems a little inane to just say "No we won't allow it, cause it's JTL, so sure you spent your money, time and skill points working on this crafting profession, and you can't get the benifits of FS Crafting. Unless you go out spend more time and more money, and more skill points to grind out a different crafting profession. Then convert the XP."
But than again I've seen many inane things come and go.
Guess i'm off to drop my merchant skills so I can get DE or something to go grind out xp. Yay a waste of time this is.

Ya I'm a Shipwright as well, and I've post about this before. I think it's totally unfair that other crafting professions get to convert there xp, and get the crafting benifits of the Jedi Skills, but for those of use who went to ShipWright get screwed outta the whole thing. I mean I don't want to drop ShipWright just so I can grind through something else, JUST to get the skills to help me be a better shipwright. I really think they need to rethink this one. I enjoy being a Shipwright, and so far I have no extra skill points avalible to me, to grind out part of another crafting profession.
So here I sit with 300k Shipwright xp I can't do anything with, and a hand that hurts from clicking grinding out some basic items for the FS xp I should be able to get with that 300k that's sitting there.
I could go on and on, but I have to now spend a few months grinding out wind generators for FS xp
