Force Sensitive Archive

This is getting annoying.. I'm having more trouble with the padawan trials than I ever did with Mellichae. I'm on the chef trial and it seems an easy enough mission, except.. the chef despawns when I get close to him. The first two times I didn't actually see him, I just assumed he was never there and restarted the mission. But the third time I clearly saw him and had him targeted but then he disappeared as I ran up to him.

I sent a ticket in on this, but I doubt I'll get a response any time soon. Has anyone else had this problem and know of a workaround?
