Hey..finished the phase II for combat and received the durable lathe with +30 speed...but it doesnt say how many uses on it. I've seen 300 and 500...is there a set number, or is this an infinite since it doesn't have a number of uses?

Nikos, did u notice a difference with it on your VK? Are you a master tka?
Iam wondering, since at master, tka is capped at speed, so adding a speed modifier to yourvk really shouldn't make a difference.... ???

Pass the word. As long as you don't pvp with the weapon the powerup is attached to the uses will go down. And whatever you do if you are a master anything, do not attach this powerup to any weapon with a speed of less than 2.5. Get a slow weapon that hits hard. That will make it worth it's use!

For further explanation which you probably don't need....
For example a 30% increase in a weapon with 2.1 speed yields a final speed of 1.47 which if you are master of your profession then you just wasted the powerup due to your speed cap. Now put this 30% on a weapon with a speed of 5.0, this yields a final speed of 3.5, which makes a ton of difference even at master levels. Feel free to elaborate if you do not agree.

500 uses is a joke, if I put the Durable Lathe on my Powerhammer its uses will be up in a single buff session. Durable my A$$.

This seems almost useless, these speed pups can already be made for melee weapons.
You would have thought they would have made it damage 30% since those arent around.
*sigh* way to think it through guys

how fast does the durable lathe degrade weapons? is it the same as others, or does it take longer?

it does wear down the condition of a weapon at an increased rate. so dont use it on that 750 hammer or 460 scythe.
also i believe it has 500 uses, in general a few crates of normal powerups are better.

I recently found this melee weapon powerup on the bazaar. It's a %30 speed power up, and the cheapest one in the WHOLE galaxy was something like 250k. Wherewould one loot one of these power ups? Or are they crafted ? I can't see them being crafted since there wasn't many on the bazaar... Any info on this item is appreciated.

It's a reward from one of the village quests, can't recall which one but it'll be on the FS boards somewhere.

I have looked at these -30% speed melee powerups recently and have found some very cheap ones ranging from a mere 60k to about 500k- i was wondering are the prices so low because they do not work post Cu?
