You can either do the mission as solo or as part of a 2-man group. Any groups with more than 2 people will not get credit/rewards. If doing the 2-man group thing ONE OF YOU MUST DO THE SHIELD DISABLE and THE OTHER MUST CAPTURE THE COMMANDER. If 1 person uses the remote and captures the commander he will only get the color crystal and the other person will get no reward or branch unlock.
Please pass this on to everyone you know. Don't find it out the hard way like me and a friend did.

Are you 100% sure that groups with more than 2 person will not get the reward?

this is my view on the best way to do it
dont go in a large group only the one who lowers the shield and the 1 that capture the commando get unlock
1 get in a 4 man team preferd 1 tank 2 rifleman 1 cm
the cm only heals the tank with mind heals and normal heals the rifles agro from 55m
2 leave the group on the moment they lower shield only the caputre and shield player stay groupd the sith wil spawn 5 on each player, that way u get a low spawn

ps....also posible group with 2 and have 15 or so in a own group (could be ur guild)
i done it on this way and its not realy that hard just play it smart
most importand is the size of the group once u use the remote

I am 100% sure. The only people that get the reward are the ones who use the remote control to power down the shield generator and the one who captures the commander. Anyone who does not do either of the two WILL NOT get the rewards or the branch unlocked.

actually it can be done with 1 person
heres how...
find your base...make sure there are a bunch of people waiting, for what reason, i dont know. Take down the shields, tell the group to help you with the sith, because they can still complete the mission. and then tell them to follow you back to the Village, since they think they can still complete the mission.

If the mission says it isnt completed in ur journal then it aint completed i had to do the quest twice because of that problem and only a group of two can get the reward. this mission is nothing but trouble and wen u finish it u never have to worry bout it again

lol no duh....maybe if people checked the jedi cyristal for quest info they would know this....

I think my mission is bug, no matter how far from me he is or how long ive been escorting him for, the commander always dies, ive tried like 10 times and still havent gotten him to the village

anyone able to give me a tip as to how to get ahold of the thug, im a TKM/ Master brawler and when i get with in 40 feet of the sith they all jump me. they are listed as neutral to me, but once i get close they lay me out.

That's correct. However, one way to circumvent that is to have a second group for your helpers, if you need them. And pretty much everyone will. Just make sure the two people who do the mission are in their own two-person group.

It's a bug. You've gotten the unlock.
