Ok, the Old Man visited and I got the crystal. The two Sith Shadows attacked and I looted the Waypoint Datapad. When I "Use" the Waypoint Datapad, I get a system message "You must first loot that object before you can extract information from that object." Obviously, I have looted the object - it's in my inventory after all - so, now what? Is this normal or is this a bug? I have reported it as a bug just in case, but is there something else I am missing? Thanks.

I've now killed and looted about 7 Sith Shadows and have 3 Waypoint Datapads in my inventory, but it continues to give me the system message.

Try going to Dathomir and checking your Datapad to see if it generated the waypoint to the Hidden Village. It's been a while for me since I got the glow, so I'm not sure how the device generates your waypoint. Also, check your Force Crystal's quest log. Do you still have your crystal on your person?

Yes I do. After the first Sith Shadows, the log said I needed to follow the waypoint to the Sith Camp. Of course, I couldn't follow the waypoint as described...but now the log is blank. I will go to Dath ASAP.

Hmmm... the sith shadows that tried to ambush you will have the datapad that gives you the waypoint to their base camp. It sounds like you got that datapad, but can't access it for some reason. That would be a bug. So it's NOT generating a waypoint in your datapad for the camp? It's at the camp where you'd loot the datapad off another corpse that gives you the waypoint to Aurilia, the Hidden Village.

The backpack-switch didn't work either. Put in another bug report.

I remember reading once upon a time that you should kill all attacking Sith *before* looting the datapad... if you looted it before they were all dead this could bug the mission as you describe. Don't know if this is still the case, or indeed in your case.
