Guess what, to my total surprise the camp had gone & therefore the crystals, but Mel was still up and being tanked by the Nova commanders and his health dropping - and very quickly too!!!Sadly I got too close and Mel killed me - but now I had a plan which I new would work.

So after cloning, I made my way back to the camp and fisrtkilled the Thugs and Mercs to give me a clear run at Mel- I didn't bother with the one crystal I could destroy - instead I gothold of Mel and ran him to the Nova's. I logged out then quickly logged back in.Mel was already down to half health with no crystals to look after him. I didn't want to get too close, but wanted to make sure I got credit, so I equiped a blaster and did one shot.About 15 seconds later the Nova's did the job and I got the congratulations messge and I was in total shock but very happy.

So I'd like to claim the firsttechnical solo of Mel post CU - Iknow its a bit of a fluke - but hey, I've been plagued by a stupid bug - if it wasn't bugged, I would have had my friends round and I would still have got him eventually. I have screenshots too.btw I'm a master brawler, swords and tka. I've played the game since beta, and only just made the 6 fs trees a day before CU.Less than one FS tree was with nades. All the rest was by the old hitting and cutting method. Took me a long time.

So my solution...drop a baseor get lucky with some Nova commanders. Run Mel to them, log out then backin and watch Mel suffer.

Now a very happy,
