My template in live is:
Master Pistoleer
4/4/0/3 CM
1/4/0/0 Doc
4/4/0/0 Combat Prowess
4/4/0/0 Enhanced Relfexes
And comes out at CL75
I just went on TC and tried my live template without FS skills and it is still CL75. This is annoying because I have to group with a CL80 player to get around the damage and defence loss in PvE.
If I put the 16 skillpoints used in FS into more CM or Doc I reach CL80.
Is this a bug or is there a reason for this?

If there is a reason... I don't know what it could be. I think it's stupid that we must be punished for taking the fs skills. At the same time though it gets you used to being weak when you get jedi.
I'm down to level 70 myself due to FS skills and I hate it. Nothing I can do about it though...

I have to think about my Template here...but I know it is currently Master Pistoleer, Smuggler 1/x/1/x, Novice Commando, Marksman x/4/x/4 and I come out at Level 65.
I think the Combat Prowess 4/X/4/4 and Enhanced Reflexes 4/4/4/X are hurting me in there.

Not a bug as far as I can tell. The FS boxes do not count towards your CL but they still offer the same bonuses, so you get more functionality versus those opponents or critters without dealing with higher CL missions. Theoretically, this should make those engagements. Seems to with my TKM, though I don't know if anyone else notices.

I bugged it, some of them clearly should add to CL, especially for those who are getting the full 24 and have to exchange stuff out for Jedi.
I am CL 65 with 5 SP remaining and 10 boxes filled. I can drop skills and loose my combat rating, or pool it differently and be less effective in combat but have the higher CL rating. CL rating isn't everything of course, I can outdamage alot of CL 80s since I am now doing 475 DPS. Some CL 80s are doing WAY less than that.
So I can see some problems from this already. And I don't want to drop my combat skills untill I have to, so I'll just bank the FS XP untill I have to switch it over.

Force Sensitive has nothing to do with Char Level. It is an additional option you have to give bonuses. As it is not a required profession. You give up skills to get the bonuses, so you will suffer the CL loss. I doubt they will change this.

In that case I'd rather dump the lot, 5 combat levels are worth more than 4 lines of FS in PvE.
FS skills should add to CL provided the ones you take are combat related, specifically Combat Prowess and the first two lines of Enhanced Reflexes.
Thanks for the feedback all... this seems to confirm my suspitions that this is a bug.
