Currently I'm a master swordsman and wondering if I should get a ranged proffesion to help with the grind. Is this a good idea? If so which ranged proffesion should I get? Thanks in advance for you help.

Well Rifles is nice to have....deals a lot of damage...and you have the ability to snare...head hit works well...sniper shot needs work....

I'm playing with respec and have found mbh/master rifles to be a nice tanking/ranged template. I also have medic xx3x.

I was a MRifleman/MSwordsman pre-cu -- a mind attacking fool.

With the CU it doesn't really work to do a melee/range combat combo.

Either go all melee template (ie MSwordsman/TKM - best offensive and defensive melee profs IMO)

or...

Go all ranged. I'm on of the many that respec'd to MBH (for the specials - and the ability to cap 3 weapon xp Rifles, Pistols, Carbines).

If you go all ranged, make sure you're in a decent group. With the ranged template above, you'll be aggro'd most of the time, and your defense won't be as good as if you were MSwords/TKM. Go Pistoleer xxx3 as well for the improved Stopping Shot.
