(Before i start i must apologise for sounding like a crazy n00b)

As i understand it, the only way to grind now is to group and hunt together... In my gametime i have not found a single group forming from random grinders. The only groups I can find are PA-specific ones and for the most part they prefer to keep it that way.

So my next thought was to form a group out of the other players in my guild... this plan has since failed due to the vast majority of the guild cancelling their accounts or simply refusing to play. There are only two other players (not including alts) left in my guild and they consist of a crafter and a jedi (who doesn't want to grind atm due to EVERY player on the server now being a BH.

So i find myself left withtwo options... either running around the galaxy for hours on end spamming the message "looking forgroup to go grinding with!" OR try and solo the grind :/

So my question is... is there any possible way to solo the grind? I've done a lot of testing in this and short of grinding 2xp per mob (x2 xp) i have found no way to do this thus far.

Any ideas?

hey dude,

ive found that by taking missions of critters not NPC's on talus (cos its resonably flat) is a possible if not slow way to solo.....im Master Sword Master Rifle Some medic for healing....The way to do it is to Draw 1 critter at a time with ya rifle, snare shot him to slow him down and keep blasting until he gets to you then whip out ya Power Hammer and finish him off with that, im level 80 and i can fight level 82 critters (just) and what with this 4x xp you can get 14/24k xp per kill, 4 critters per spawn , 3 spawns in total, plus about 9k credits for destroying the lair (You do the maths ), my hammer is 1154 dmg with 530dps so im thinking you may need a good weapon to do this, but hey it works for me so should for you, obviously grouping is best but cos im UK this method is handy for me whilst most of my guild arent online during my daytime.

MOST IMPORTANT THING ....1 CRITTER AT A TIME

I don't know how it is on Tempest, but on Kauri, all you have to do is go to the Mining Outpost on Dant and there are usually 3 or 4 guys there forming hunting groups. Pretty Easy.

My guess, though I haven't done it yet due to a lack of creatures, is that if you want to effectively solo then the template should include Master Creature Handler. Maybe throw in Pistoleer for rooting and disarming and you may have a soloable template. You only need to hit the critter 1 time to get full xp, so I am going to try this. I am currently looking for a pet rancor to tank for me and I have TK for naturally armor and wound healing. Try this and then post how it works out for you. The pets should also help you when you unlock Jedi so that you don't have to group to get your xp.
