Hello everyone

I am a jedi popping in to give you cheery news!! If you hate the FS grind, then stop now! Be happy wirth your current template and enjoy the game!

If you LOVE grinding and WANT to have all the rewards AND burdens of being a Jedi . . .then read on.

To get a double mastery template as a jedi and use all your skill points you can please be ready to earn roughly 32,000,000 jedi xp. You initially get to earn this as a lowly padawan at about 100 jedi xp per kill. Once you can take on the CL 80+ stuff .. .you can earn about 1k per kill. All the while, you are hunted by BH (if they kill you then you get an xp penalty and lose xp. You can go in the hole up to -10,000,000 points), you advance slowly, and you are constantly having to take breaks to regenerate your precious force power!

The road is long and perilous . . .so if you hate grinding . . . don't go on. But if you love it then join us and know the ways of the jedi!

don't get me wrong . . .i LOVE my jedi char . . .the saber is just too cool . . .

But i see soooooooo many complain about how long the grind is . . .and once you become jedi padawan you can NEVER drop it . . .and if you get killed by a BH you WILL get a negative xp penalty.

I just wanted people to know so if they really didnt want to grind it . . .then they could stop before it's too late. Or at least put it on pause.

But again . . .I love my jedi and wouldnt trade him for anything. So many times I was tempted by ebay . . .but I am glad I did it on my own . . .so much more rewarding!

Hyjaax,

What you DON'T seem to get is we KNOW Jedi is going to require countless hours of earning massive amounts of experience.

What pisses us off is that we have to GRIND 77,000,000+++ experience (thats6 branches of 1,225,000 FS exp. or 7,350,000 FS xp multipled by 10, could be as much as by 30 or as low as by 3, so 10's a good mid range figure)just to be ALLOWED to grind the next 32,000,000.

So all said and done to become a Jedi is going to require 111,000,000 experience!!!!!!!!!! So I'd gladly do the 32,000,000 for Jedi if it weren't the other 70,000,000 of GARBAGE grinding to get there. Plus you don't have to Grind Jedi exp, you can just play the Jedi and have a good time.

While sure you can just play the lesser classes and have a good time, but frankly that's NOT WHY most people are interested in a STAR WARS mmorpg and if you think otherwise your deluded.

The worst part is how pointless the Pre-Jedi grind is. Here's what they SHOULD HAVE DONE:

Why are you telling us that jedi is hard and miserable, when you are a jedi. Gee, thanks for encouraging us, we don't need it. Jeesh, nothing positive around here. Obviously, you are a very sullen, miserable person, don't ruin the game for everyone else please. I don't see what your purpose is, if you want to tell people to not be jedi, go tell a server forum, because everyone here has already been somewhat devoted to becoming a Jedi.

Granted what he describes is the bad side of things, But I think what he is trying to say is for those that feel the grind of the village is boring and way too much grinding, then for those they will not like the jedi grind. Everyone wants to be a jedi that is a given, and it is a great feeling when you finally unlock. The problem lies in that at the moment you will gain didly squat for exp solo as a padawan. 100xp per kill and needing to grind up to 32+ mil. As you get more skill boxes your exp will rise to around 1k per kill. But, Isjedi fun, Hell ya. Is getting explike pulling teeth, hell ya. But you have gotten to where you wanted to be. Some get to this point and go no further. Happy with padawan. This is what I wanted and im about 3/4 temp right now. Grinding was/is a pain but im loving every minute of it.

With the CU you are pretty much forced to group to level your jedi or you will not have a full temp for a year or more going solo(there was a post where some guy broke it down). Also BH's currently only hunt padawans under 120k. you will lose 2x what you are worth on the terms. I unlocked Pre Cu, Once the CU hit I grouped for exp, I was worthunder 100k I had 12 visits from BH's in 3 days. Imagine grinding 125k FS exp only to lose it all from one fight real quick. Trust me it is frustrating when you have spent 5 hours grinding that first bit of exp only to lose it plus another possible 50-100k+ in less than a minute. Many people that just unlocked are sitting negative now. Pearl drops are bonked from krayts so you have no real damage in your saber to hurt anyone, unless you got some Pre CU or have deep pockets..

For those that are grinding and will unlock soon...keep going for it. You are close tothe light at the end of the tunnel. I started the village grind way back when and capped once sometimes twice a day and it was all good. A pain in the Butt Yes, the village and jedi is only a grind if you make it one. Why everyone wants to grind out the Village exp so fast now is beyond me. Cap once or twice a day cash it in and have fun in the game doing other stuff. If you havent tried PVP try it, it is a ton of fun. There are so many quests you can do/things to do etc. Just have fun with it. Dont make it a chore....

Grimz,

Good post, but what you don't address is with your last paragraph is that many of us have done EVERYTHING else in the game. Everyone we know who played have QUIT and there is nothing left by Jedi.

We bought this game, have sunk more hours than I care to contemplate into it, not to mention money, 80 up front (CE), 30 more for Rage of the HairyApes, 15 per month for nearly two years and all this for one sole purpose.

To play a Jedi on an on-going basis.

KOTOR I finished in two weekends. Yawn. But it did give a taste of what we want.

However, spending a hundred ormore hours GRINDING exp just to GET STARTED on a Jedi character that we know will take us 30,000,000 exp to master is not only boring, but it's downright stupid.

The dimwits, err Devs, wanted to keep the numbers of Jedi down. They have failed. I can't go to a StarPort on bLowca and not see a dozen Jedi at any given time. Worst of all is that the majority of them are Power-Gamers who aren't playing them to Role Play, remember this is called a Massive Multiplayer Online ROLE PLAYING Game, but just to lord over everyone else with their powers.

And those people will power-Grind their Jedi up and they will abuse them till they get bored, sadly those types take a very, very long time to get bored as clearly they are Grinders to start with.

Everything about the current path to becoming a Jedi is horribly, horribly broken.

AND DID I MENTION I AM NOW AT 12 HOURS OF NOT BEING ABLE TO LOGON TO MY MAIN CHARACTER ON LOWCADUE TO THE SERVER CRASH ISSUE!!!!! I can create other characters and play on different servers, but I've got about 150,000,000 exp. invested in my main since release and starting from scratch isn't my idea of fun, unless it's a Jedi.
