Thread: The Sith Datapad Bug: Unable to download waypoint off of looted pad in quest after old man

Hello Everyone. I had a Visit from the Old Man yesterday, and he gave me a force crystal. Today I killed the two Sith and looted the camp datapad. However, when I went to download the waypoint, a message popped up that said "You cannot make sense of this data." I checked my quest tab, it said that the Sith Ambush was a completed quest. I looekd in my inventory and found that, after I had fought the sith, my force crystal had dissapeared. The old man showed up only minutes later and gave me a new crystal. I tried the datapad again, butIt have me the same "You cannot make sense..." message.
This happen to anyoen else? I can't get into the village until I do the Sith camp.

I beleive you'll have to wait for the Sith to attack again. This time loot the datapad manually, not with Loot all. Hope that helps.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. By the way, I've noticed that both the old man adn the sith tend to spawn a lot in teh center of Tatooine, in Naritus that would be Darkfire.

the same thing happened to me but i also got incapped and lost my crystal so will i get sith or old man to visit lol?

I logged in today and my interface had been recet. the SIth came again and everything went smoothly. I believe SOE fixed it for me, for us. Probably us, because other peopel were talkign too. Anyway, thank you SOE.

The Same thing is happening to me. I've fought the Sith FOUR times trying different ways to kill them and loot them. I get the same message and I've sent a ticket into SOE....still haven't fixed it yet. I'm so frustrated. I don't know what else to do about this.....

Just keep at it, Trev. It finally worked for me today on my 4th or 5th attempt.
I made sure I didn't look anything until they were both dead and my journal updated, and then used the manual loot command on each. Went into my inventory, and it finally worked.
Just in time for phase 1, too, (hopefully).
