1) Yes, you can train your Fs boxes at anytime... and not specifically in that phase... (ie: now that we are in phase 1, anyone who unlocked the phase 4 quests can train those boxes at anytime)... Unlocking is phase specific... Training is not...
2) Yes you have to keep those FS branches... and as far as i heard you cannot drop them once you have unlocked your second toon (i'm not there yet, so this info is from the stickies).
3) That's really up to you.. i'm grinding through the combat ones with my main... but i might try the crafting ones with my alt...

1 once unlocked you can train up in it at any time, as long as you have the xp and unlocked it.
2 dont know, im not that far myself, i do belive you eventually have to give them up anyway.
3. take ones you can do easily, if you can craft easy go for it.

My understanding is that you CAN drop fs skills, BUT MUST maintain 6 full fs lines. This means if you want to drop a line of skills post-unlock, you must first train in a replacement line before dropping the undesired line, which means you would need 4 extra skill points for a seventh fs line before dropping back down to six. I've never read anything to suggest that at any point as a jedi you are allowed to drop below six full fs lines.

Yikes that has almost made me quit the grind right there. The FS skills are horrible and have always been horrible. The skills are ripping apart my template even before the CU, now after the CU they are even worse. Why would they require you to keep the skills?

Like elite professions require a foundation in novice professions, jedi requres a foundation in force sensitivity would be my guess.
Your template is going to get ripped apart as you progress into fs and innitiate anyway, get used to the idea and figure out how you can adjust accordingly to keep you cl as high as you can. Painful? Yes.I had to do the same thing and am now still learning a completely new template, but one that will allow me to get all fs boxes filled and still stay lvl 80.

Okay, I tried to do a search for this answer but the search function seems to be bugged for me.
Okay, I have a few questions about grinding out the FS village quests.
1) If I unlock a tree, can I grind xp and convert it to that tree at any time? I ask this because I unlocked Ranged Accuracy quite a while ago, and was wondering if I must wait till phase 1 before I can get any boxes in that branch.
2) Once I complete the grind, and become an initiate and later a Padawan, do I have to keep these branches I have unlocked? I heard from a friend that it was necessary that you keep these branches of FS if you intend to keep being a jedi.
3) Is it even worth grinding fs crafting xp? Or is combat oriented fs the only worthwhile branches?
I appreciate any answers that can be provided!
