I'm done with my fs grind. I just have two village quests to go, them Malichae then the padawan trials. I am currently mbh/master rifleman. I would like to maybe try a melee template with the new respec. Would TKM/Swords be good for my last two reflex quests and for mali and the padawan trials? What template would help me the most once I'm an initiate? What about CH, would that be any help to a padawan trying to keep vis low?

I too would like to know this awnser. I am a masterTKA/Swords (love it!!) with novice medic. I am working on filling my 4th FS tree right now and have been looking at what I need to do to get to padawan. Off topic but can non-fs people help in the last quests?

Ya, I hear for meli you want range. He does one hit wonder killing. You not not want to be in melee distance of him. I bet TKM for defence and wound healing will be good and keep the master rifle for that reach out and touch someone. you must not have used your account for a while if you can still respec. cool.

you should be able to give mellichae a tap with any old non-cert ranged weapon, so there's no need for a ranged template just for that, however good it might be otherwise. i would think melee would be better for the jedi grind because you would be using a melee weapon (LS), so keeping those melee mods (and TKM until you get some more jedi innate armor) will benefit you a great deal IMO

oh, but i guess you just wanted a padawan trial template, which i know nothing about. for myself, i'm thinking into thelong long longjedi grind

I'm in the same boat. XP all banked and just waiting for Phase III.

I did this on the last day of respec. I switched from MBH/MDoc/NCM to MTK/MSword/NDoc. I figured it would be a better compliment to my jedi skills once i get into that. I don't know it that'll be true. Honestly, i like my ranged template better, but that might just be that i've been ranged from day one and haven't really gotten into melee yet. I just don't like all the running around and taunting that is my group role now. But I do love the defenses, specials, and damage with the melee temp.

yes, they can help...you just need to be there when the guy dies. I'm FS myself, also MBH/MRifle and I hear that ranged is currently the best thing to use....however, I don't really know much...I've got 4 trees left.....WAH!.....oh well.....

There are 5 diff jedi novice boxes you can train and you want to get them all. Each box cost 3 skill pts each but you have to have 20K jedi xp for each novice box, so you will need 100K jedi xp to fill the novice boxes. You can only get jedi xp using a light saber. You are so weak as a new jedi that you need to be in a group to get th is xp. Once you have trained the novice jedi xp boxes, other jedi can train you in all lthe other jedi boxes you need.

I would be best to find a jedi guild and start grinding with jedi...you will bet jedi xp much faster this way than grinding in a reg group. I had the benefit of grinding with jedi at the end of my fs grind which helped me finish up the village during double xp wk and the week after that. Grinding in jedi groups is really the way to go....you will cap out on xp so fast....it is amazing.

Again, hopes this helps for those who are soon to finish the village and want to know how to start and finish the padiwan trials and get on to being a jedi finally!!!

Novice boxes cost 8 skill points each, and you can also get Jedi XP using Force Powers.

I finished the jedi padiwan trials today and am now a jedi padiwan after playing for 2 years. I respeced to master TK/Swords and then to master TK/Pike/Brawler with novice medic. I used swords to finish the fs grind as I liked the damage I could do. Went to pikeman for the spin attack. Also, center of being on TK is very good to have. You can fall back on these skills as a jedi to fight until you have to give them all up for a full jedi template.

The Mellichae quest is best done with just a non-cert rifle. Have some ranged friend or better yet jedi friends help you with the quest. Have them attack Mel....all you have to do is get in a few hits on him to get credit for killing heim and getting credit for the quest to start the padiwan trials. The last crysal on the Mel quest is bugged on Bria and will not die. The way you get around this is to is have your friends attack Mel...then you take a few hits on him with a rifle from a good distance. You then quick disconnect from the game and reconect.....this will cause all the crystals and the camp to go poof ...all you have to do is then finish off Mel and you get credit for the quest.

Be warned that the jedi padiwan trials are very bugged....you will get npc's that don't spawn. If this happens use the /target npc name command in the general area of the waypoint and it will show you distance to npc. You may have to wait a few minutes for update. This was the biggest headache for me.....npc's that didn't spawn...but a firend gave me this hint and I was able to finish. Also, don't take missions on Rori or Tatooine as they are bugged. You can keep resetting the current trial at the force shrines till you get the planet and or city you want for the npc that gives the trial quest.

The padiwan trials were so bugged that getting thru them was much harder than getting thru the village ever was. There are 16 total trials. You do the first 8 trials, then you craft your light saber crafting tool, make a refined crystal pack and tune one of your crystals. You are then granted status as a jedi initiate. You can craft a saber at t his point but you can't use it as you don't have any force until ou get to padiwan. After you become an initiate, you have 7 more trials to complete and then you are granted status and title as a Jedi Padawan. You have to go to a force shrine to meditate to get your trials. Do this by kneeling and then clicking on shring and using radial menu that says meditate to bring up trial menu.

When you are all finished with the last trial and go back to a force shrine, you will hear the Star Wars music playing and you will know that you have become a Jedi Padawan. You will get a system message stating this and you will be given your jedi robes to wear as well as the Padawan Title.

You worked hard to get to this point, so take a few minutes to listen to the music playing and enjoy the moment! Hope that is helpful to those of you who are making the transition from the village to becoming a Jedi Padawan.
