Ok..i totally share everyone's digust over the group xp nerf. I have a master pistoleer/master AS who can't go out solo since CU due to the damn CL54 And i still have a branch of Combat to grind, so I know not being beneficial in a group due to my low level will make it take forever. BUT....before pub 22 hit I was dealing w/ another xp prob thatmost ppl don't even know about and needs to be reviewed! I have unlocked 3 branches of Crafting Mastery. If I knew how insane this was for me to want to be an uber AS..i would've never done it. I just did the math and in order to fill all 3 branches..i need 3.725 mil fs craft xp. Let me break that down for ya seeing i know those who are combat are saying "so what..we needed that for combat too". I can trade in armor xp at 5:1. The easiest and most common grind object for armor is ubese shirts which have an xp of 94. that means i would have to make 199k shirts using about 20 mil resources total. that should only take about..hmmm...a few months of non-stop grinding and millions spent on resources..no time to play and enjoy the game or even have time to run my AS business. I even tried doing the math on higher xp items like generators or swoops..but it'll take over 200 mil resources and the conversion rate is 8:1. There has to be some changes made to the crafting tree! I have a life and a job and play this for fun ....the fs craft grinding is not fun. And I'm not some noob who wants jedi overnight. I haven't even used any /respecs..I've done everything the hard way..I earned it! All I ask is that they review how absurd the crafting branch is..and not just pay attention to the combat xp..as always!

And while I'm on my rant lol...I have never recieved any quest rewards for the crafting mastery branch!! I have sent in tickets and they always tell me that there are none. Funny how others get them and it even states what they are in the stickies! Guess i should send a link to the stickies to the CSR next time...

Ok..I feel better now! Now if the servers would go up..I could start grinding again...

i am sorta new to the crafting and in a way i understand what you are talking about. have you thought about using a metal recycler and making nemodian bird cages. yeah...i know they give something like 60 or so and use 29 units of mineral but the ration for them is better than swoops and higher xp items. besides...crappy resouces are out there just waiting to be had.

but you re correct...it will take for ever to do it but i have a plan...you will need to build a super cool( as in temperature ) computer that you can run all night and day while you sleep and work. then you can use your uber computer for when you want to do stuff with friends... that will be 16hours of afk grinding and then that will leave you with i would say about 2 to 4 hours during the work week to have some type of fun with the game. let's not forget that you might have days off and might not have a wife and or children that require/demand/insist/or whin for you to stop playing that game and hold me....uh...off topic there...LOL

thanks for the tip hahaha..i'll start working another job right away to get this uber computer..oh wait..that'll leave less time to play then lol

i did try every scenario..including birdcages. prob w/ anything artisan is that the conversion for general crafting xp is 8:1..so i'd be grinding more of them for less xp at a smaller conversion. it's a tough decision..but i'll stick to shirts lol

thanks for the advice tho and gl w/ you're grind..we're all gonna need it!

know what you mean - it is a really tough grind - took me 4 months of WS grinding on warheads to get this done.. - and i wouldnt have finished without the double xp week - the BEST way to do it is to grind binary load lifters from DE - get xxx4 and you can cap DE xp very quickly.. either way it is not an easy task. took me 400 caps of WS xp to get all 4 trees..

when i explain to combat types just how long it took and why i dont want to make my alt the WS now ive unlocked jedi thier jaw dropps when i tell them of 400 chats to padmos..

Its well worth it - my current template is

FS crafting mastery

FS survival

FS survey

Master weaponsmith

0404 sabers

4000 healing

4400 enhnacer

novice defender

With the CA's and pearls i can afford fro my successful buisiness im a match for most full template jedi - and the ONLY CL80 master crafter on my server

Why not grind up a few combat trees...then respec them all to your crafting trees

Since combat is easier and faster to get.

If artisian exp is general crafting, the cap is 50K. I usually wound up crafting in the village and brought the resources with me! I found that crafting the new vehicles produced the most XP, though this was resource intensive of course...

it depends on your top artisan level..i cap at around 80k for general crafting xp (i think..could be wrong..not in-game right now to check lol).

and as far as grinding out anything resource heavy..did you read my original post???? i'm already gonna need 20 mil resources just to grind out small stuff..if i need to grind out something that uses 200 mil+..anyone want to start donating free resources to me now??

The main point of my post was to draw attention to the fact that the craft xp exchange needs to be reviewed. If they don't want to change the conversion..then fine..change the amount of fs craft xp needed for each box. Give us lower amounts more in line w/ the xp amounts we can earn per item. If I go out and kill something I get about 5k per kill..converted that's about 166 fs xp. If I craft something..I get about 100 xp..converted that's about 20 fs xp. So we're required to get the same amount of fs xp..but at a smaller rate. If the difference between proffs is about an 1/8...then make the box requirements about an 1/8 of what they currently are. Heck..I'd be happy w/ 1/2 of what they are now!!

I'm glad to see the group, weapon, combat, and med xp rates go back to pre-pub 22 rates. So now that that fiasco is over...can we give a little attention to the crafters!! Maybe if we all threaten to quit and stop crafting they'll change ours too. HAHA..sorry..must've been dreaming for a sec....

Honestly tho...pretty please

and in response to the /respec comment....

i have yet to ever use any /respec for any of my toons. i believe in working for what i have and not just make one-click and get it. Makes me a better player than most noobs who did this...and I know this for a fact seeing how many /tells I get from /respec AS who have no clue wth they're doing on even the simpliest things seeing they didn't work their way up the tree like the rest of us who mastered our proffs pre-CU.

Thanks for the tip..I appreciate the help and if you want to /respec into a jedi..gl! It's just not for me.

Once again...my whole point is making things fair!

sorry bout getting off topic and i ask for your forgiveness in that.

as for your comment about the crafting being the same fs ex to get up in the boxes...well this is the first time that it has ever been brought up to my attention and you are correct.

if you look at the elite crafting professions and the elite fighting professions they are not the same to gain in boxes. true there are those that have combat profs to help them in the village but there are some that do not have the conbat profs and yes they and we are being treated unfairly in most cases.

/agree ... lower the amount of xp required or change the ratio. but not to be condesinding but i would rather see them fix this game with all the bugs then work on ratios.

thou i do love my recyclers for making grinding resources. got 3 out of 5 made.

Even though the Xp conversion rate is the same as crafting it's no where near the same thing. Crafting prof's will cost you millions in resources, and hundreds of dollars in theropy for the carpel tunnel you got from all the clicking. If I could have respected my FS skills belive me I would have.
