Thread: WOOOOOTTTTTTT!!!!!! Regular xp is returning!!!!!!!!
Quote from Tiggs...
Test Center group experience calculations have just been reverted to pre-publish 22. We strongly encourage our players to create a character on Test Center and report any problems that may arise as soon as possible. The publish from Test Center will be pushed to our Live service later on tonight. This will not require a downtime however some players may need to log out to see the changes take affect.
They listened...

I think it's good they are removing that BS nerf. But such a move also makes me wonder what they are planning on doing next. My biggest fear is that they are going to require more 'trees' of FS skills to unlock your slot...maybe 8 or 10 instead of 6. Also since the next phase is phase 1....it leaves a window to change the jedi requirements. Maybe i'm just paranoid because my last unlockis phase 1. We will see what SOE cooks up next.
Maybe soon you'll have to unlock every branch in every tree.
I for one liked the new group xp. Felt nice to know that it would now take several hours to master an elite master profession instead of just one. *shrugs*
But sure, I guess it's good they changed it back. I realise that most people in this game shun, fear and loathe challanges of any kind. Losing all those people would force the devs to pull the plug on the game, thereby killing it for me as well. Sorta funny how I truly need the people I stay waaaay clear off in game to stay in game to be able to keep playing it myself. ![]()
Either way,any "nerfs" (adding challange) arenot a big issue for me, I can still roleplay just fine. In fact, I kinda wish they'd stop pi**ing the l33ts off with all these combat changes. It would be much better if they could nerf Zabrak Jedis wearing black dusters and pink/green cammo pants. *shudder*

This is no joke, and I am very surprised.... for the first time in what seems like a long time, the SoE Development team has heard (or probably rather seen - in the form of cancellations) the cries of the players themselves, and answered with a good fix.![]()

Making the grind process longer isn't a challenge, it's a chore. I'm more than open to challenges, if they're true challenges, (i.e. missions, quests, random brain teasers that make it difficult to simply post a walk through for, etc). The problem isn't a lack of challenges, it's that the devs' solutions to the problem lack creativity.
Want to master an elite profession? Fine, make me have to go kill something by myself. Make it so I have to run stuff like the hero of Tatooine quests with random spawns, etc.Give me a mission so difficult thatI truly feel as if I accomplished something in order to obtain it... make it a challenge... Simply telling me that in order to gain mastery I have to mindlessly slaughter more bols is nothing more than a poorly thought out stop-gap manuever...
Right now I think maybe they should work on how much time a person has to put into becoming glowy. That will help slowso many noob Jedi fromrunning around. Right off the bat as a complete noob you can get 2 content badges by doing the mayor and the onegirl in Mos Eisley. The village really doesn't need to be any harder i don't think..maybe just change it up a bit so its not a mindless grind.
