Hello folks,

I want to know what determine the path of your Jedi. I know how to come "glowing" but if i want to be a Dark Jedi which path do i have to choose.. and if i want to be a Light Jedi which path i take?

Is it base on your faction? Rebels or Imperials? etc...

Thanks for the information everyone.

to become a light or dark jedi you have to be a fully templated padawan, then wait for the FRS to turn back on, then you can choose light or dark. now, netiher exist.

To add to what quitch said, it is also dependent on faction. Which, in my opinion, is incredibly stupid. Dark Jedi should be hunted by anyone and everyone, as they pose the greatest threat not only to the Rebellion, but to the Emperor and Vader as well.

But as it stands, Dark Jedi are Imperial, Light Jedi are Rebels. At least, as quitch said, until they turn the FRS back on. Then, who knows?

/agree

And the idea that Imperial = Evil and Rebellion = Good is ridiculous in my opinion. There are good and bad sides to both forms of rule... and I think that a dark/light Jedi should get to be either side. Just a thought.

It's all based on your world view...

Correction... In the old Knight Trials, it was dependent on faction - if you were Imperial, you were a Dark Jedi, if you were a Rebel, you were a Light Jedi. They might use the same system in the new Knight Trials, but given all the uproar about Jedi being too involved in the GCW, it wouldn't surprise me if they changed it. We'll just have to wait and see.

just to say somthing about this. No Dark jedi would not be hunted by the empire becouse the emporer kept dark jedi under his wing and i don't mean vador, the emporer set up orders, like the emporer's hand and the inquisition to work for him THEY all had dark jedi in them. if anything Dark jedi are the only jedi that fit this timeline.

This is quite possible, and we can only hope it is true. But I don't believe it has officially been announced that Trials of Obi-Wan will contain the new Knight Trials and the new FRS. Someone please correct me if I am wrong though.

For a description of the old Jedi Knight Trials, Click Here.

FRS = Force Ranking System, which is the way Jedi used to progress beyond Jedi Knight (Jedi Knight->Jedi Guardian->Jedi Master). Basically, the idea was that you would kill Jedi of the opposing faction to get FRS XP that would allow you progress to higher ranks. At higher ranks, you would get bonuses to your Jedi powers.

Both the old FRS and the old Knight Trials were taken offline after the CU went live, and all Jedi were returned to Padawan status. You might still see Jedi Masters running around, but those are titles only - everyone is technically a Padawan right now. Rumor has it that SOE has submitted the new Knight Trials and FRS to LucasArts for approval, but there is no definite word on when the new systems will return or what they will be.
