hi all, just started getting senses xp and looking for a good way to get it.
wondering if anyone has gone the ranger path and if it has worked well for them?
im only onlocking one branch of the senses tree and wondering what the best way to do this is, although i am 4-3-4-2 scout atm, i only get 30k scout xp before capped
where ranger would allow more scouting and survival xp to be gained.
any ideas and comments handy

In a word no, I had ranger 0040 but scout xp is a lot harder to come by than say grinding a doc on a tumbler. Personally I had thought about doing that but it really is a waste of time when there are much faster ways of grinding this one thru
just my 2 creds
-edit-
also if you want to grind medic xp you'll need doc 0040 for max xp per session

I was thinking the same thing. As a former Ranger4040, I was raking in the scout xp during my master rifles grind and running resource contractsand was thinking that I could effectively grind both senses (scout xp) and reflexes (combat/weap xp) at the same time. Until I noticed that a level 4creature handler branch could yield a 280k xp cap (140k * 2) and the conversion ratio is 9:1 (instead of 10:1 for med). I haven't attempted CH yet, was going tocomplete my two reflex branches before going this route to level my persuasion branch (once i unlock it).
Any input/ideas of using CH to go for senses, guys?

hmm didnt think of CH, might be a good way to go if CH xp easy enough to come by
also im only doing one branch in senses atm, i have 5 combat/reflexes branches unlocked already, just getting one senses line and im done
i cap 30k scout a lot quicker than i get my 900k unarmed, so i thought with a higher scouting cap i might be able to stop wasting my opportunity during my buff sessions, and convert a decent amount of scout xp with unarmed.
might pick up some ranger while i have skill points free maybe 0-0-4-0 and try some CH as well
thanks for the opinions guys

CH xp isn't really that fast to get. As an earlier poster said, it would be quicker to get that XP with medic xp.

I banked 365,000 force senses xp from my scout /ranger in the time it took me to grind my way up the FS survival tree as TKM hunting creatures .
i.e. by the time i would cap my combat xp 300 k and 900 k unarmed 1 time my traps and scout xp would be capped . then off to the village to convert .
Normally i would cap scout xp by harvesting hides from the mobs out of 3 or 4 rancor lairs , so no time at all .
I would also max out on traps xp on these same lairs .
So if your going to grind out all the combat tree over time then by the time you have done it, you would probably have banked enough senses xp to buy 2 trees .
But it will take a long time .

Awesome responses, people. I just unlocked my persuasion branch last night so now I'm really on the look out for a quick an efficient way of leveling this branch. Should I grind my way back up to Ranger0040 (if i still can without wreckin my current template too much) or maybe do a level 4 doc branch and go from there? Or maybe the CH route may still be a viable option if the xp can be earned easily...
Oh, decisions, decisions....

I just did two branches using crappy action buffs. Doesn't require avian meat or reactive gas, and using regular medical components works just fine. Now that you can call your pets from the toolbar it's easy to set up a call pet, buff action, store pet macro. The best part is that I didn't need the help of other characters to do this.

I was just thinking of something else that can be done. One of my other chars is a Combat Medic (haven't played him in a long time) but I remember in the combat med grind one of the 'tricks' is to keep poisioning/diseasing creatures. Since enemies can't die from these attacks and you still get full xp for applying them, wouldn't these be the ideal source of med xp grinding? Now I could've so ignorantly blown a huge senses grinding 'secret' with this and sound pretty dumb posting this (if it is already well known) but oh well, I think it's a good idea...

Combat Medic with Area Poison is the fastest way to cap senses xp. Unfotunately, at master, my cap is 80K. I think this is a little better than doc. But I can cap much faster than a doc, even one running a rez macro.
Still takes 153 xp exchanges to finish a tree, but considering how fast you can do it I guess that isn't bad.

Master Merchant for senses. Every 3 to 4 days you cap. Each time you tradeit for 20k FS xp. And you dunt have to do anything just place vendors. You even get xp offline. Lazy man's guide to completeing the sense tree.
