Ok now that holocrons do not affect becomming a jedi I would like to ask if there was any pattern what soever to which professions u had 2 master. or did each holo just say a random prof and the silent was random.

uh.... i think your living about a year in the past, the way to becoming a jedi has almost nothing to do with what profession you have mastered anymore

Gnecymec, read his post again. Your answer is nowhere near what his question is. If you don't understand the question, keep quiet. He was just asking, now that it doesn't matter, IF THERE WAS ANY PATTERN to the old system or was it random.

Well they were random. The first 4 you find or buy, would tell you something like "The path to greatness, you have to master brawler" or something like that. Then your 5th one goes silent.. then you are mastering every prof in the game till you find the one that you needed.

It depending on the given time you needed between 5 and 8 profession mastered... In the very beginning you only needed to master 1 profession after the 4 the holos gave you, the developers then over time increased the number to try and control the # of Jedi's in the game... As for pattern, it was most likely random... Though a large number of reported holo groupings seemed to suggest you had to master a profession linked to different novice professions... i.e. 1 brawler type profession (brawler, tka, fencer, swordsman, pikeman), 1 marksman type profesison, 1 medic, etc.... However, we also saw holos give rifleman and carbine as 2 of the 4... *shrug* As far as I know, the developers never really explain how profession were picked for you and random seems to be the best explination at this time.

I actually saw a sight that used a formula to determine your most likely silent professions based on theprofs of Jedi who had already unlocked. It wasn't official, though, and it sure as hell didn't work for me...
