I was a hologrinder pre-publish 9. I did one holo prof months before publish 9 and that was the only holo prof I finished even though I started my second. From what I've read I should theoretically now get one free unlock....? SO I'm FS now and I go to paemos and there seems to be no way for me to get a free unlock... Some people say you click the "what can I learn next" option or however it's worded and I tried that and he says "nothing" which would imply no free unlock... What do I do? what's going on? What am I missing? Thanks alot to all those who reply, take care.

been a while but as I recall it worked like this. there was 8 holo profs randomly assigned to your character, 4 of those could be shown by holos the other 4 were hiden and you had to try and guess them. when the conversion happend it worked like this. you got an unlock based on how many you had ocmpleated.
1 or 2 profs = no unlock
3 profs= 1 unlock
4 profs(aka silent)= 2 unlocks
5 profs = 3 unlocks
6 profs = 4 unlocks
7 profs = 5 unlocks
if you got all 8 between the jedi revamp and the FS revamp patches you'd get all 6 unlocks.

so if you'v only compleated 1 holo chances are you didnt get any unless you'd masterd other profs that happend to be 1 of the 8 you needed. I know some people that never grinded holos that got several unlocks just cause they'd masterd 6-8 profs between launch and the revamp just by playing the game. Myself I did my holos and had a total of 13 ground profs by the revamp. I got lucky and had 4 unlocks so I managed to pick 6 of my profs.

Not so. Under the old system, it was possible to get Jedi without even using one holo. The key was in the professions, not the holos. They just gave you clues. If you mastered a lot of professions, it's quite possible you could get unlocks without ever using a holo.

Exactly! The holos gave you a few free clues. It was totally possible to grind a bunch of professions and unlock with no holos. Shoot, I got 3 unlocks, and I had only mastered 6 professions. It just happened that 3 od the random ones I did where flagged professions. Seems to be the ONLY lucky thing I have had happen to me in this game too. :/

so if i unlocked on my main during the holo period, and finally got Force Sensitive under the new system, do I get 6 free unlocks?

ok, now i see what he meant. I thought it was meant more like he got free unlocks without mastering a bunch of professions. So basically, he probably did holo professions, just didnt know that they were HIS holo professions. That or silent professions.
