I need sense FS XP, and was curious about what XP is like. Right now I am master BH/Smuggler. I was thinking maybe I'd get just Novice CH as support. I used to be a master CH/Ranger and remember getting insane XP right after CU (then again, it was Bloodfin during the 4XP week).
Does XP substantially increase as you go up the CH tree?
Aside from the XP payout, I'm thinking I might actually need to revert to my old Ranger/CH template in order to get decent caps.
Any advice/recommendations?

CH is currently totally bugged. all pets that you have in your inventory now are level 0 and have 1-10 HAM. no lie. check out the CH forums, they are furious. same with droids and factions pets like ATSTs.

My pets were working fine last night, my level 70's were functioning as normal with 6k+ ham and full damage....I got about 450k exp in 2 hours averaging about 4-5k exp per creature.

This is a bug in patch 19 that went live today.
All pets (creatures, droids, and faction) are all being considered level 0 and have 1-20 hp. They say they are working on a fix but have no ETA as of yet.

My apologies, haven't had a chance to log on yet today but it doesn't look promising. The devs have officially launched yet another bug-riddled patch, what a shocker.

Level 0! Thank god I didn't use my respec token.
While I'm thinking of it, does creature level have any effect on XP gained in the new world order where pets take on their owner's level?
For example, say I am a level 70 character with novice CH. Fighting a level 70 MOB, I pull a level 15 pet, group with it, and it assumes my level 75. Is the XP that pet returns any greater or worse than if I became a master CH and pulled a pet that was already level 70 to begin with?

BE pets aren't affected by this though, but they can't take down CL 70ish things halfway as decently as 3 Female narglatches could, so it would be horribly inadvisable to consider us as your choice for a new profession at this time.

If you need FS Senses go back to ranger. I just banked a whole tree worth of sense with 0-0-4-0 ranger in about 3 days. Scout XP trades well and is super easy to get. I got all mine while capping my weapons and combat xp, no extra work. just my two cents

well as a master CH who is not force sensitive, i have gotten 600k CH xp in 2 weeks. i am working on becoming FS now (got jabba's and nym's themepark left before i'm glowy). i have no clue the exchange for CH xp nor do i know how much you need to get a box. 600k CH xp in 2 weeks. you tell me if that's a good amount when it's converted.

Yeowwch! Two weeks for 600,000 XP sounds pretty painful -- and that's after they've bumped up the XP payouts.
I knew it was a grind before CU (did MCH twice), but thought maybe they had put it on par with the combat profs. With double XP I can easily get 900,000 Carbine, Pistol, Rifle, 75,000 Unarmed, plus around 280,000 Combat XP in one hunting session.
I wouldn't depend on CH when you start grinding... CH converts at 9:1. For force sensitive XP, with double XP,I can easily get get 75,000 Scout XP in less than 10 minutes, and that converts at 8:1. From a pure grind perspective, it definitey sounds like my skill points would be better served going ranger.

What's the cap on your 0=0=4=0 ranger template?
I just noticed that getting Novice CH for some reason unblocks the 75,000 Scout XP cap I had at scout 4-0-4-0. I'm up to 128,218 so far... I wonder what the next cap is.
