when you start the new jedi revamp will you still get a second character slot, and will the second character slot have lots, be nice for guild halls and such. does anyone konw for sure?

I know for sure that the latest word from the devs (though it's been a while) was that Jedi would be allowed to have structures BUT that both characters, the main and the Jedi (for pre-10 unlockers) or the Jedi and the alt (for post-10 unlockers) would both use the same 10 lot pool, i.e. you could have a guild hall on your Jedi (9 lots) and a harvester on your main (1 lot) or the other way around. Regarding the current situation with lot trades, I do not think they ever seriously considered giving each of the characters 10 lots. Both characters will be using the same 10 lot pool (with a certainty of 99.97%

I just recently came back to the game after leaving shortly before JTL. I was wondering if when you open your second character slot if it is just for that server or if all servers now have 2 character slots available to you?
Also I was wondering if anyone has a date as to when the CU is supposed to go live?
Oh and one other question. If and when I make Jedi do the skill points used in the Jedi skill trees pull from your base 250 skill point pool or is it a new set? From what I understand the 24 skill point you need to unlock the 6 trees of FS skills comes from your base 250 skill point pool. Is this correct?

uum cu i dunno but the 24 skill pts for fs trees nail ur current 250 so bank it all till ur rdy to drop part of ur template

You get the second character for the server you are on. You would have to get Jedi on another server to have a second slot there.

just for a final clarity - do you get a second character slot still if you become a Jedi Padawan?

yes. once you complete your padawan trials, you receive a 2nd character slot

Unfortunately, it's just a new, normal character.
Back before patch10? (I think was when it changed) - creating that 2nd charater would show electricitywith a trangular Jedi (?) symbol behind the character,and the words "You are creatinga Force Sensative character".
I reallymiss pre-patch 9 SWG.

Is there a wait time?? I goto create and get a message that says you cant create another on this galaxy.

Shouldnt be a wait time, i made mine 15 minutes after completeing my padawan trials. I did have to delete a character on another server, since the max you can have is still 8 even if 2 are on the same server. So make sure you don't have the max number of created players and just create one on your jedi's server.
