Ok, so iv spent the last 2 hours driving back and forward, i get onto the 5th patrol, goto the WP on Endor and i cant see the ship anywhere. Any ideas what i could do

Pull up your local map and look for the rectanglur looking object.

Pre-CU i did the quest and about half my waypoints were bugged. I think what I did was go back to Whip and he told me to "get moving and get the supplies" which would reset the waypoint. I don't think there was a conversation box though.

i had one like this, found 3 ships as far as 950m from the waypoint but none mine. went back to whip and reset it.

I must have gotten lucky with this quest. I have read alot of people being bugged.

Mine did the same thing, u just have to drive around and hope u complete it

I've heard of ships being nearly 1000 m from their waypoints, just drive around about 300-350 m outside your waypoint, otherwise you may need to kill yourself to restart the mission. 
That's the only way I know of to restart the quest, because I hear there is no conversing option with Whip to restart.
