Ok, i recieved this mission last night, a guildie of mine recieved it a few days ago but hasn't done it, can we still pair up somehow? If I do it solo, do i have to lower shields and bring commander back for my reward? Just curious, thanks

I picked up this mission and the person I grouped up with picked it up at a different time than I did. We did the mission and finished it and we both got the 2 crystals so you can still pair up. As far as doing it solo, in order to get the commander you have to lower the shields and the only way to get credit for the mission is toescort the commander to the village, so I would say you have to do both parts of the quest.
