Oh I was unaware the phases were static, I assumed (obvioulsy incorrectly) that when I start I start in phase one. When will phase 4 begin? Is there a post where I can fidn the timelines?

Now that I understand how this all works from a symantecs POV, Inow would like to ask some char specific questions.
WhenI first started, rumour had it when you unlock your slot you get a new character to build. From my experiences to this point I think that may have been incorrect.
My current build is a master marksman, some scout skills (allow me to get bh), master rifleman and 1404 in the BH tree (CL 66). WhenI was reading those posts, I read that 1) Jedi cannot wear armor and 2) They only use meele weapons, so skills like ranged accuracy and speed were useless. Was this the authors POV assuming all jedi would go meele, or do you in fact have to go meele?
Now I am unsure on how to proceed with the build throughout the phases. I have unlocked luck, which by some stroke of my own luck did not seem to be a bad tree to unlock. But in 4...I was going to do ranged speed...but perhaps I shouldn't now...should I respec (if possible) to a meele profession as opposed to this BH setupI got? I used to bea master musician so this combat side of swg is still new to me, and jedi newer still :/

Really, it all depends on why you are getting FS skills. If you are getting them to enhance your current professions, then by all means get Ranged Speed. If you are becoming a jedi, then ranged speed won't do you much good while you are using your lightsaber, which is melee (you can however still use a gun when you are a jedi, it's just as you go farther into spending sp for jedi skills, you will be dropping your ranged skills, therefore, at full template jedi, the only ranged skills you will have are the FS ones, if you take them). Also, a jedi CAN wear armor (as long as he still has the armor certification from one of the professions), but cannot use anything involving Force (ie: Force powers and using a lightsaber) while wearing armor. A full template jedi cannot wear armor, as he no longer has any professions that will give him an armor cert, although, at full temp, he doesn't really need armor, as he has jedi innate armor (which works very similar to TK innate armor). Hope this helps some.
BTW, in case I lost you with the full temp thing, when you haveput all the sp you possibly can into jedi skills, you are full template. The most you can put into jedi skills is 226 sp, as that last 24 sp is in the 24 FS boxes. If you have 224 sp in jedi skills, therefore having 2 sp leftover, but don't have enough sp to buy another jedi skill, then again you are full temp.
