Thread: 3rd time beating sith shadows...

I have met with the Old Man 3 times now and subsequently met the Sith Shadows 3 times now. The first time 2 times I got Incap'd and they took my force crystal, even though they stood around and I eventually killed them both. I was lower level then and realized my mistake. This time I was visited by the old man I was CL 76. I met with both of the Sith Shadows and killed them both individually with some initial kiting, but then toe to toe. I looted the ore and datapad and I keep getting the message, "You must loot this item before you can use it" or something along those lines. Well I have obviously looted the datapad and I had deleted all the other datapads that I had from my previous encounters, before I even met with the old man the last time. My quest journal tells me that I have to defeat the two sith shadows and it is not checked off as being done.


Does anyone have any advice as to what I might be doing wrong? Is thisa game bug? I am very confused now.

Sith's are bugged. SoE did this deliberatley to let nobody else be jedi.

Obi-Wan: uh, that was a joke Anakin. I'll spot you the cash for a new crystal THIS time, but next time you're on your own.

I doubt that since i got my second FS char through the sith attack and camp last week and my friend didhers 2 days ago no problems.


Kill both sith then loot. get waypoint. Go to camp dismount speeder within 200m kill all three sith then loot. Use last data pad for the village waypoint.

Did you kill both sith before you looted the datapad??? You have to kill BOTH of them before you loot it

I killed both and it said "You can not understand the data on this disk"

You have to kill both Sith before you loot their bodies. I made the mistake the first time of looting one before killing the other (habit) and the disk was busted. Deleted it, and blammo, they respawned 20-30 mins later. Wasn't hard to solo them, but then again I have a crowd control template. (Smuggler/Pistoleer)

I got jumped by the Sith this morning - I'm lvl 80 and they wouldn't have been a problem, but I decided to pass the time fighting Battlelord Merek's, so I had three of them spitting venom at me and about half my health and all my action gone, then these two sith popped up.


Not a happy little fish guy now
