Thread: Question: Can pre-pub 9 chars grind a holo prof and get a free unlock now?

Back in the day i used my holocron in hopes of becoming a jedi. It said to master architect. I didnt even start because i was an all combat character. Now i am really focusing my efforts on jedi, and was wondering if that holocron helped me at all. Is it possible to grind architect NOW and get a free unlock when i am finished? So if i master architect, will paemos offer me a free unlock? or is it too late? anyone tried this?

Holo's don't work the way the used too. They don't tell you a profession to master, they fill your force bar. You'd have no idea what profession to master.

Sorry, but I believe I read 1 profession gives 0 unlocks, 2 professions gives 1, etc...
It's in the FAQ or one of the quides at the top
Oh, and the system is totally changed now too, so holo grinding does not work... forgot to add that...

You only get credit at the village for holo profs completed PRE pub 9 (before publish 9).
There were 8 holo profs, and you could get maximum 4 from a holocron. the other 4 were totally random
If you had managed to get some or all of these 8 profs, then you would get free unlocks on this table.
0 holo prof = 0 unlock
1 holo prof = 0 unlock
2 holo prof =0 unlock
3 holo prof =1 unlock
4 holo prof =2 unlocks
5 holo prof =3 unlocks
6 holo prof =4 unlocks
7 holo prof =5 unlocks
8 holo prof = 6 unlocks
By unlock it means you could speak to paemos, he would actually give you the unlocked tree, and enough xp to train it fully. But you could only do 1 at a time. To actually train you had to go to Noldan. If you spoke to Paemos and got all 6 unlocks at the same time, you would only have enough xp to train 1 branch, fully wasting the other 5.

In my case this is incorrect. I received 2 free unlocks andunlocked them one after the other without training the branches and Paemos gave me 2,450,000 xp. I should note that this was all FS combat xp.

Even if it was possible one profession statistically wouldn't do you any good.

one profession would give 1 unlock, which is 1 branch, which is all i need. anyone done this?
