Hi Again,

Another quick question...

If I cap XP on pikes, then swapped weapons to a 2-handed sword and started spinning with that, despite the fact I am using the pike area attack, would I then get 2-handed XP that I could then go to the village and exchange as well as the Pike XP ? Just trying to reduce the runs to the village

The experiance you gain, is by what weapon you use, not attacks that you use.

so, if you use a 2 handed sword, you will get 2 handed experiance. no matter what attack you use.

Same goes with any other type of weapon.

So I could cap on Pikes, TK, Fencer and 2 Handed for Melee spin, then change to nice pistols, rifles and carbines that have no requirement, aside from the CL, and cap those also? Sadly, I have no area attack for ranged weapons at this time, although I may change that as I grind...

Well, will certainly reduce the number of runs to the village I have to do Nothing worse than getting a good group and having to run off to the village every 40 minutes - 1 hour

correct.. and sense you can get 200k exp for ranged weapons (pistol, carbine, rife) without any certs... only bad thing is the fact that your stuck useing the standard ranged attack.
