Thread: New force attack from Mellichae???

I was part of a group helping a friend with his exit quest recently. After destroying the crystals, the thugs, and his little buddy, we were having a bear of a running fight with Mell. We were about 2/3 of the way through his mind bar, I was dead, then suddenly my PC locked up. 2 reboots later I logged in to find that 2 others (including the guy whose mission it was) had the same thing happen.
On attempt #2 only one person locked up. Unfortunately, it was the man with the mission, and it failed him.
3rd time was the charm for us. We managed to get through the camp and Mell without any crashes. I'm not sure of the consequences of 3 failures, I'm happy he didn't need to find out. We were happy it was a success, but it took far to long to get to that point.
Is there a special attack that's causing connectivity issues? It was weird to happen once, and a real pain to happen twice. "force-area-PC-lockup" is a real nasty attack.

nah its the devs' new Crash To desktop (CTD) feature. it helps you lose ALL the fun you may have left in this game!

I had the same problem.
The first two times I fought mell 3-4 members of my group would lock up and crash. Twice I was able to log back on and not lose the mission but the third time did it. What made it so frustrating is that we had Mel down to 10 health when it happened!
Yes, 10 health and I failed the mission!!
Oh well, I got it on the third try without any crashes so I won't complain any further.

We would get to the camp, get set up, start the attack, and 2/3 of the group CTD.
Log back in, mission failed because the mission holder was one of the people who crashed.
This happened repeatedly about 5 or 6 times.
Then, about an hour after all of us sending in tickets, we actually finished the quest without crashing.
My suggestion is pick a group that will keep trying even with all the crashes.
We would get to the camp, get set up, start the attack, and 2/3 of the group CTD.
