ok it has been a year since i have played this game and when i did play grenades really werent all that impressive. have they become much more powerfull and what is the best thing to use them on to get the most xp u have heard baz but perhaps a something thathas the chance of droping some crystals?
i was considering droping commando for bh to grind for fs xp but i think the regular xp i already have would be better used transfering to fs xp and if grenades are what everyone is grinding with perhaps i should stick with commando
any thoughts

Well if you want to know about nade grinding I think I would be a good canidate to explain a little to you as I have capped 6 full branches in a little under a week, just waiting for next phase to hit to train my 6th line.
Ok to start off average damage of thermals/protons on my server. Thermal- ap2 BLAST 1388-2138/With pup 2.9k-3k or so, Protons Grenade(now here is the cash in for FS xp these pupies will let you fly through FS xp faster than anything in the game)damagea-ap1 HEAT 1800-3200 with pup breaks 4.1k max.
Now with that being said here is a break down of the hunt, (1.You use thermals on Giant Baz Nitch lairs throw at the lair in a full solo group 1 lair of these will net you 85447 combat xp taking 4 lairs to cap at 300000 combat in 1 buff session you can squeeze 3 caps in 1 a hour ropughly.
(2. Protons use these on Giant Baz Lairs, Now here is the perk they are ap1 HEAT damage, add that to there already over 4k max with pup and Baz being vuln to heat these suckers kill em in 2-3 tosses each lair neting 85447 combat xp you can cap roughly 5-6 times a buff session.
Now for conversion rates- If you want to do normal weapons and change in xp every time you cap 900k say heavy weapons xp your looking at a 60,000 FS reward for trade in 900k heavy 90k combat roughly.
Now if your going grenades your lookin at 300k combat xp trading in to be 100k FS xp a trade.
With all that said the fastest possible way to grind FS would be the logical proton nades of the master commando box, second best thermals (wich I used) you can easily crank out 10 caps a day with protons and 6 caps a day with thermals. I hope this helped you make your mind up in some way.

1388-2138 for Thermals? That sound very high. Sure that is not with pup. On Wanderjhome they are 1800+ (higher end) unsliced/ without pup.

Okay this is how I did it.
1) Get to 3xxx in commando.
2) Buy Imperial Detonators. I am on Bloodfin and I can buy these for 45k per crate. It takes approx.
10-12 crates of Detonators to fill 1 entire branch of FS tree. Also make sure to purchase max
damage grenade pup's. Pup's normally run 3k to 5k per crate and come in stacks of 10. So 2
1/2 crates of pup's per crate of grenades.
3) Get yourself into a solo group and hunt giant baz nitches on Dathomir. Target the lair only and
"tap" it with whatever weapon you have armed. Then when you have 5 mobs aggro'd on you
start chunking the grenades at the lair! Make sure you have the lair targeted. If you have a mob
almost dead you can stop with the grenades and finish them off with your armed weapon.
This helps you save grenades in the long run and hence saves you money.
Using the above I can cap combat exp. 3 times in 1-3hour buff session and thats counting the trips to the village. So I make 300k FS exp. every 3 hours. I do this once a day and fill an entire branch every 4 days. As of right now I have all the FS exp. I need banked to fill my last 2 branches.
So now I can kick back and relax , reset my template and have fun for the next 4 or 5 weeks and go back to the village only to unlock my 2 remaining branches as the phases roll around.
Really it's all up to you. You have to play the game in a way that makes you happy and that's what really matters. Some say grenades cheapen the Jedi grind and maybe they're right but all I know is that I'm done with the grind and I'll take my "cheap" Jedi thank you!
