Force Sensitive Archive

I have just become FS in the past 5 days and I have had the old man visit got the waypoint to investgate. I have killed the sith in the camp and now when i try to use the datapad it says that i must loot the item from the corpse before i can use it. Now I have tried shuttle porting around,star porting to to other planets, I have logged off and back on , I have dropped the datapad in my house and picked it back up and even dropped in house and logged off and back on and then picked it up and it still does not work. Any ideas what might be going on here

The old cure for this problem was to put it into your backpack and then put it into your main inventory. I don't know if it works now.
