When you arrive at the waypoint that's been given to you, press CTRL-M, then zoom out by holding CTRL and scroll down a lot, then you'll see the ship as a green thing, no searching required whatsoever

yeah there is some searching required. http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Forcesensitive&message.id=39045
I also use the map zoomed out.

Slowly spiral outward is the safest way. Make a full circle maintaining say 200m from the waypoint. (use your compass to know when you've come full circle) Then move to 400m. Rinse&repeat till you find your ship. I'm amazed at the complaints about how hard this quest is. I've found them to be very easy.

Here's the thing i don't get...
People are whining about how hard this quest is. Yet you find those same people then whine about how there's nothing to do and no content in the game.
While this isn't exactly what i'd go so far as to say content, it most certainly is something to do. I've enjoyed searching for the ships once i reach the waypoint. Having to battle through some extra mobs in my search. And I would agree with one of the other posters here, the quest isn't hard. It's rather easy compared to some and just takes time rather than effort.

Though if doing this as the quest, I recommend taking advantage of the Sith at the ship so you'll have more Village resources at your disposal. It'll make the next phase a lot easier.

Personally, I think there is a slight chance that the mission can be bugged a few times. I always saw the ship on the overhead map, or I saw it at once. But there was one time that I didn't find it and gave up. I circled out to 1600 m, then back in, then back out and gave up. No ship.
I got a new mission from Whip and found it right away. So I think that if you don't see it immediately, go get another mission, it might not be worth looking for it.

hint: if it's not appearing. Clear out some of the lairs and mobs in the area. They may be preventing the ship from spawning in.

Plus, you dont need to get of your bike or kill any siths, just drive by the ship and you get the supplies. It was just the 5k drive to the village, 5k back and 3k drive to the supplies and 3k back that took the time. One benfit of JTL
