Complete BS. Why? The game would not function w/ some people having the CU and other people not. The CU will be an automatic update like the game does every day for those who do not buy ROTW, they will just not be able to go to Kyyysyk(sp) or have the new JTL ships(and whatever else comes w/ the expansion), but their combat system will be the same.
