Thread: What does luck do, does anybody know for sure?

Luck seems like it could be useful...
My thinking is that if I slice a weapon for 10% critical chance and use advance critical shot for and addition 15% chance to give me 25%, pehaps with a little LUCK this slice might actually be useful.
Is all that luck is good for is credit loot, or does it make your % chancesto do otherthings that seem to rely on luck (like chance to absorb damage or land a critical etc.), luckier too?
If there is a post that explains this from a dev please sticky.

Luck is supposed to make you, well, more lucky at looting. The description talks about increasing your chance to loot more credits, but no one's sure if it increases your chances at looting items as well. It's your call if you want this skill, not bad considering the other options though...

I have luck +4 and looted two +9 attachments within 20 mins while killing the Sith for the Melee Accuracy quests.
Maybe I'm just lucky.....oh wait.

As one who took the luck tree I can assure you that you'll have a black cat walk across your path everyday of your life.
UN-luck tree ftw!!!! lol.

I got luck 4 then visited a cantina, met a lovely dancer girl an got laid, didn't have to pay for it either - I consider that pretty lucky

More successful in looting which can be somewhat useful for Jedi to use as to loot like power crystals,etc.
But yeah just looting

from what i've heard luck is broken it doesn't do anything at the moment.

All Luck seems to do is help in looting more credits pretty much. It doesn't help in Pearl tuning, slicing, loot hunting, crafting etc etc. Just another broken mod in the village system.

Perhaps, the more people on the server with Luck+4, the less likely the server is to crash??

It is just a meaningless, alternativebranch to unlock for the grind to unlock Jedi. Nothing more...nothing less.
