Thread: Where is the problem? Getting Glow, or Padawan?

Honestly, I think Sony is looking at the wrong place to increast the amount of time it takes someone to get Jedi...

As we all know, there are 2 phases to unlocking your Jedi: Glowy, and Village....

It seems like they are trying to extend the village phase, which is already long enough, in my opinion, no matter how hard you grind, its going to take 13 weeks to become a jedi from that point....

Getting Glowy - it can be done from start to finish in a single day.

Now the question is, how to increast the time it takes to get glowy? How can they implement a quest that will change for everyone, and is still enjoyable (unlike grinding. I don't know anyone that just enjoys that...) the Theme parks are a pretty good idea...

Maybe have to do some sort of special quests on each planet, like the theme parks... *Shrug* ya'll always come up with great idea, would love to hear a few.

hey dude im not really sure u can get glowy in a day. the tp's and warren take a while. anyways tho, ive talked about this a bit in the past few days and i think there should be more quests in teh fs grind rather than fat fat grinds. im actually kinda surprised there isnt quests to do in the padawan grind, it seems like a great place to put them. it would be a good and a lot more fun to have quests on the paddy grind. even after u get jedi, some quests along with the grinding would be fun.

In less than 24 hours of playing you can master a profession, visit all the POIs (me and a friend did that yesterday in about an hour), and do Nym's, the Imperial, and the Warren themeparks. Now I don't have time to do all that in one 24 hour period, but in the course of 24 hours of playtime I could easily do all that.

Now with the two newbie quests counting as content, getting glowie in 24 hours of gameplay won't be so far fetched. I am almost glowie now but I've been playing for about a month to the tune of about 8 hours a week. I only need to finish the Imperial Themepark but I'm waiting to up myCLbeforehand; so I don't get pwned by the Sith Shadows.

There are more content badges than the themeparks....

Theed Librarian.

at least 2 mos eisley quests (Beginner)

Gorax badge

Krayt Bage.

There are 5 that can be done with the help of one level 80 Combat medic/ Combat profession friend in under 2 hours...

I never said a level 1 could solo it all and do it in a day...

Honestly now that Im thinking about it... themeparks take about 2 hours each... I'm willing to bet it could be done by a completely new toon by him/herself in 24 hours if you have knoweledge of the game.

Anyway - You got 2 parts to becoming a jedi... one takes lets say a week to get glowie -A one armed monkey can get glowy in a week. and the other takes 3.5 months at minimum (13 weeks)..

Something is askew.

Edit: Spelling r hard.

Just a temporary stop-gap measure to curtail the numerous Jedi sprouting like weeds. It won't put a damper on my eventual efforts to become a Jedi. I've played a lot of Star Wars games (almost all of them) and SWG is the best I've encountered. I don't mind the grouping because there is always someone in the group who can teach you something. I figure that I should be able to grind out the rest of my unarmed XP for TKA's first three skill trees on Saturday evening. It'll take me a little longer for the combat XP to finish out TKM, but I'll be working on Swords after the TK's skill boxes.
