I started glowing this morning. I have followed all the "old man" acceleration techniques but i havent found him. I have a question. Is his name "An old man", does he approach me or do i have to spot him and talk to him?

he finds you, i wouldn't hang out in a large NPC city though... hunt stuff out in the wilds and eventually he will come out of no where same for the sith. just have patience

yes his name is an old man. you will know him when you see him. as for how long it takes from the time you are glowy. could be and should be days. i was glowy since the day of patch 10 and he came for me like 3-4 days after. so you maybe waiting.

stick to player citys
and wait it out he will come most people make the mistake of looking for him and end up mad as hek
go do some solo missions and get your combat xp cap and weapons cap
youll need it!

thanks for all the help guys, I logged in yesterday and shuttled to a player city and he appeared and came right up to me. Now i am waiting for the sith to come. I decided i wont bother trying to accelerate the process since it didnt really work last time.

Its all bull about the player cities... LOL my old man came to me in the middle of bestine...and the sith came in the middle of talus...*
it's a gated timer which counts your logs against hours played..so you've more chance of jumping the gate if you log and relog...

He comes when he comes TBH, I was doing Piket Protectors when he visited me!!! I like said 'Feckin hang on, can't you SEE I'm busy!!!?'

Hehe.. BECAREFUL! The old bugger stole my composite armor!
I was pickin up armor, walked out of my house and there he was. I was putting on armor while talking, got my crystal and poof.. there went my armor out of my inventory. 
CSR's were very helpful tho and told me to buy an new suit and they would foot the bill.. .. AND THEY DID!!

Heh.
I've started the "old man countdown" myself after glowing yesterday morning. I've went to every player city on Dantooine, just to see if I could get him to show up today. No dice.
Have to wait until tonight to get back to SWG...hopefully the yabo will show up then, or else I'm taking back the offer of a bantha burger.

Anyone have any tips on enticing the old man to come and visit me for the exit quest? I filled my 6th column last night and have tried shuttling all over Dant, going out in the middle of nowhere, and changing planets. This guy doesn't want me to leave the village....
