Thread: Need basic help please...I think

Hi all I have a few questions that I cant find answers for. This is the situation. I got glowy, talked to old man, killed sith, got wp for village.
First I spoke to paemos and I got a free unlock, which I took Combat Prowess and the Melee Accuracy line(4 boxes).
Then I did the cargo quest which unlocked Enhanced Reflexes, which I trained(novice box).
I then tried to learn melee speed 1 box(from Combat prowess)and it wouldnt let me.
How do I train the individual lines? I thought I had to unlock them(one per phase?) , then convert exp, the train the skill boxes. Heres where Im confused, I did read the faq many many times but Im still not gettin it.
Are all the individual lines quest locked?
Im soo confused. Many thanks if you can help me in any way.

Yes, you have to unlock each and every line before you can train in them.

Yah, every phase quest = one line (or column). You say you tried to learn melee speed, but don't mention doing the quest (or using the free unlock) to open it.
Note; you can always train novice boxes.

The point was made on something I didn't figure out for a while. Have you cashed in all your current banked xp to unlock the novice boxes for reflexes, prowess....etc? I realize that's an aside to what you were asking but it frustrated me for a while and wasted time on xp I could have been banking. As for your original question I think the rest of them pointed out one quest per phase, but you can bank the fs xp to get ready for your next quests and if nothing else you can go ahead and put it towards vehicle control until your next quest.
