I'm currently grinding FS Exp, and got another 3 branches to go.. And all this complaining about the update is making me confused about the FS grinding..
- What will CU do to the FS grinding in Aurillia?
- What will happen to my grinding if I'm not finished untill CU release?
- Will it be harder/easier/a new system?
- Why does some say they need to hurry before the CU release?
- What will be the difference in grinding the exp after release?
Please, someone, give me some answers.. I couln't find any of these answers in forum, so I'm making a thread myself, hope that's ok.. Looking forward for answers..
-Thank you!

Because nobody knows how FS grinding will be affected.

not really. 1 week hasnt even passed on TC and things are constantly changing. they are still testing novice profs and trying to get a decent xp rate sorted out. when SOE know whats going on, we will know whats going on

If you are open to some wild conjecture, I feel that the new system will involve putting together a "supergroup", where the mix is just right to optimize XP accumulation for all concerned. These will likely be optimized by the community for particular POI hunting grounds, Group composition may well be different for the various POIs and their particular denizens. Ranged combat professions will likely come to the fore again. Space will become more populated again as a familiar method of generating income by selling parts to buyers in the spaceports. The economy will be a while getting into sync with the new systems. As for the Village, I think that first Phase IV is going to be a bloodbath as players barely adjusted to the new system attempt to content with the scalp counts on outlaws and pirates while steering clear of the Thugs.

As others have said, we don't have hard information on any of this, the system documents as they were released to us are very likely to change as the CU test continues, and after release with updates and patches.
- What will CU do to the FS grinding in Aurillia?
It will be different, particularly for the Combat Prowess and Reflexes XP grinds. On the one hand, the increased personal health and decreased effectiveness of buffs will make just picking up the grind for an hour less of a chore, perhaps making things easier overall to fit in a quick hour grinding. Currently, only having an hour free isn't worth it after you've gotten buffs, into a solo group, and taken care of any provisioning you might have 20-40 minutes left to go run a mission or two and log off.
- What will happen to my grinding if I'm not finished untill CU release?
Depends on what you are trying to do. Most likely, the combat will slow down; the characters nigh invulnerability to most creatures will likely be lessened. Initially there will be a learning curve as we get used to the new system, but as with previous changes and in other games there will be some new methods found or new "sure path" type guides available if you haven't found your own path to be as successful or beneficial as you might wish.
- Will it be harder/easier/a new system?
On the short term it will be much harder, as we have to relearn how to work in the new combat system, then how to work to work most efficiently, and then how that translates to the FS grind. In the long term, who knows? Things just might improve overall... but initially the changes (as currently understood) appear to be so broadbased and wholesale that the initial relearning curve will be steep and slow us down for a few weeks/months.
- Why does some say they need to hurry before the CU release?
Because the current system and attendant wisdom is familiar. You will move more quickly along the path you understand and has been welltrodden than you will breaking new trail for others to follow. We *know* how the nade grind works, how to max out with our combat professions, how to best handle the quests with our current abilities. All of that will need to be rediscovered after the CU, so immediately afterwards it will be slow going for an undefined period of time, until 1000's of us have had time to really shake the system out.
- What will be the difference in grinding the exp after release?
Hard to say, other than it will be much slower at first as we find our way and become accustomed to the new systems.
