I got glowy today ( woot me =) ) and Im waiting for the old man to arrive.

I have over 2mil in saved xp and 400k combat xp.

What are my chances of getting a Visit, Killing the sith and doing the combat Quest in village before the phase ends?

Is the First combat Quest easy? I heard it was a stroll around killing a couple of NPC's......

I think you still have like 4 days, you should have plenty of time. The old man usually takes like 1-2 days to come. Then you are in the village. The quest should take 1 to 2 days max. Some quests only let you do a certain amount a day. I can't remember if that quest is one of them. Good luck!

It all depends on which quest you do. If you go after Ranged Accuracy which is 10 patrols to unlock and 10 more for the reward (a banner) you can make it before the phase change. The old man should come to visit within a day or so and killing the sith was a cinch (Pre-CU). So good luck and welcome to the grind.

hehe thx =)

I will do The ranged one purely for the speed of the quest.... I hear the FS boxes on the grind suck anyhow and wont affect your overall Jedi temp so,,.......

/me throws cookies around in an attemp to coax out the old man

yes, this is very true. grab the boxes that you want to grind (i.e. senses, combat or crafting) and for the loot you want. Pre-CU it was almost a requirement to have have the 2 melee combat, melee+ranged def cols and any 2 others, now you just need 6 cols. I highly suggest completing the quest for the LS crafting kit. I think the 3 cols that are best to have are crafting assembly and experiment and luck.

On that mission do you have to attack the siths though or can you just go from one waypoint to the next waypoint?

I dont wanna rain on your perade but chances are very unlikey unless you are a CL 80. Siths are bugged to the max! and if you do get it then oldman takes 1 day = 17th, Sith takes 1 day = 18th, then you go to the village and get quest = 19th, 10 patrols. If you are CL 80 then you can do it within 6 hours, 3 patrols = 3 hours for anyone who can kill the siths within 1 minute. I brought a friend on my patrols for the company because it gets serious lonely doing those.

Well do you actually have to attack the siths though? I noticed in the walkthough it said skip the ones that have more than 3 siths. Couldn't you just skip all the siths?

Yes, you can skip the siths if there are more than 3... remember.. MORE than 3... if there are 3 or less, you have to kill them... You can tell how many there is when you get to it based on the hint the system gives you.

If you don't kill the sith when you are supposed to (3 or less),or you are detected when you aren't supposed to attack the sith (4 or more), you fail that round of waypoints...

Likely though, most waypoints will have no sith at 'em... Likely 1 or 2 will have sith at 'em per round... It just depends on what the system does...

But i did this Pre-CU and they were easy... post CU.. bring a friend who is at least level 80... they are level 76/77... even the sith that attack you to take the crystal, same thing...

Good luck..

Hehe, good luck... which server are you on?

If yer on Valcyn or Bria, those are the first two to switch... and they will switch someday after the 20th... likely the 21st... but that's based on the exact 3 weeks with no downtime.

Now what happens on the phase shift. If I do the range can that be changed into melee after shift? Sorry still understanding this phase shift. I have been gone for over a year and come back to a whole new game.

Oh and can a Master BH / Master Pistol beat the siths that attack after the old guy sees me? (sorry dont mean to hijack your thread)

On phase shift... read the sticky above (jedi revamp)... Also, if i'm reading your question right, it can be answered in the sticky above about (Jedi Revamp)...

Basically, There are 4 phases... each phase lasts 3 weeks (approximately)... In each phase, there are 4 different quests... you can only do one of the quests in each phase once, and can only do one quest in each phase... The next time the same phase comes around, you can do another quest but not the one you did last time.

(EG: Last phase 1, i did the ranged accuracy (sith patrol)... this phase 1, i did the rescue villagers... The next 2 phase 1's i can do the crafting ones if i so wish, but i cannot do these again)...

You also need a total of 6 unlocked branches, which goes along with a full branch of FS XP completed (ie: 4040/4444) to go on to the padawan trials.
