Thread: FS system is good but.....

Just wanted to post my thoughts as I have been playing since launch.

I think the FS system is good but.....

The village quests are too easy. Everyone blows through the quests in the village and heads back to Dant for FS grind. I think they should make the village quests more involved. More group help based. I realize jedi are kind of an alone type but still the game is more fun when you get more people involved. Thats just my take on it. I also think they need to add elite or "epic" weapons to this game that are extremely hard to get. So jedi "epic" would be like 1.5 times harder to get than other profs. But all profs should have one. They should do the same with clothes and armor. In reality things are just to easy to get in this game. They need to make most of it harder. But thats off the FS system topic. Just had to speak my mind as I will unlock on Eclipse after I do the commander quest.

Any thoughts people?


Just thought I would add this too.

Instead of having phases that last for 3 weeks. Why not make quests that take that long. So you dont literally have to wait for sony to say well ok now its time for you to get a next step. It doesnt feel like you have earned anything under the current system. The quests should be hard enough to make a player proud to say I finished that quest. And the rewards should be the same. This way a casual gamer wouldnt have to wait for phases but could log on and work on the quest at their own pace.

Yeah it would be nice if more of the quests were harder in the village, or maybe a series of smaller quests, something that would occupy about 1 week of your time in a 3 week phase. It did get harder with patch 17 or 18 for phase 3 because of a bug. It wasn't intended though. If you're doing any of the raid the baes and escort the commander back or the prisoner, the guy walks and no longer runs. So if the base is more than about 2K away from the village there is no way you can finish the quest in time because the guy walks too slow to make it back in an hour.



Also have you tried any of the ground based corvette mission badges? That thing has gotten really hard and the devs haven't adjusted it. It's kinda fustrating to do now. Not like it wasn't before but it's way worse.


It would be nice to have some harder quests for some really good loot. Should they be as hard as the ground based corvettes are now? I think so, that would be worth it. And a lot of the ROTW quests are harder than most quests for loot there as well. But yeah, adding some more neat things would be great. I'll agree to that.

the village quests aren't difficult . . . but we have to remember that the game needs to provide for both the casual gamer and the power gamer. A power gamer will easily go throught he quest in a number of hours . . . and then get upset when they have to wait the 3 weeks to getthe next one. The casual gamer may take 3 days to 2 weeks a finish a quest . . . or may not be able to log on until 2 weeks into the phase.


The quests need to be easy enough for the casual gamer to complete so that the aspect of Force Sensative doesn't alienate them for individuals who can get online much more. As well because the phase has a set time table . . . this also affects the length of the quests.


Keep it in mind . . . FS and Jedi is for everyone to try for.

I heard that if the person who secures the commander does not attack anything before or while he is escorting him back then he will not take the poison and you have all day to get him back to the village, I will be trying this tonight

Yeah, I was told that by someone as well, and I even posted it here one time. I still wonder if that's the case though, because the quest journal even says once you capture him you have one hour to get him back before he dies. When I did it, I followed that advice, and did not attack, or even stop walking, my group covered me the whole way, and I made to the village without him even stopping, but I was 3k away also. If you try it from a further distance, please post what you find out.

Honestly, I was too worried about getting him out of the area with all the Sith Thugs around, so I didn't even notice if he took anything when I captured him.

phase 3 melee accuracy...thats how it should be...have people sweating it every phase
