During this week, I picked up mbh and master commando. With that, I could max out four different weapons lines (rifle, pistol, carbine, and heavy weapons) at 900k for rifles, pistols, and carbines and 1.2 million for heavy weapons. That combined with the ~400k combat xp I picked up along the way would net me 250k+ FS xp per trip to the village. However, due to double xp week, that turned into 500k per trip. Got enough xp for the last two trees I needed before the exit quest.

Bring on phase 4.

Commando still, and very carefull use of grenades. In a group with carefull use, you can get 11k of combat XP just by hitting a creature with one grenade and NOTHING ELSE. Downside it that grenades can agro a long distance away. I use thermals they agro everything within 30m. So I have to make sure it's clear first.

why use thermals? you only need to hit things once so why not just buy the cheapest ones with the smallest blast radius?

Go Commando/Master Squad Leader.

You can have 900K COMBAT xp pooled... Use nades in a group, and you get all combat XP.
