Hi all, before the CU I banked enough FSXP for 5 branches, and so I still need one more.

Is it still hard to grind out FS? What should I do to get this last branch? I'm still trying to figure out these new CU mechanics. I'm level 80, does that help any?

Should I get buffed, etc, and wear thearmor I did before CU (my 80% kinetic composite) ?

I still have a bunch of grenades too, and I could respec if needed...

Don't have a bunch of time tocheck all of this out myself,so could someone tell me how things have changed and what's the newest "great" way to grind?

Thank you.Sorry if this has been asked a lot.

Scout xp gains from creature harvesting is increased, and so has the cap. I use TKM & MCH to get tons of FS xp, but mostly senses xp now, which is good for me.

Solo it's now harder for me with MR/MC

...however, grouping with just one person is much easier than pre-CU. Then again I didn't do the nade grind pre-CU so can't compare it to that. However, if you didnt do the pre-CU nade grind method then I'm sure you'll find any size group to be much easier(easier being faster). For me its probably close to twice as fast as before.

Now get in a full group with some CL 80 peeps and it's very fast compared to pre-CU. I would doubt the old nade grinding method would even beat the rate of aquiring xp from a full post-CU group(not to mention the cost and time saved aquiring nades)

I think it is faster.

If I get a group of 4 or so, all with decent equipment, as a MP/TKM I cap pistols (at 1.2mil exp) and rifles (200k) in about an hour and a half. That nets me close to 90k FS exp.

Not as fast as the old grenade method, if you had commando 4000, but much faster than if you didn't.

I wouldn't stay with TKM MCommando though. Ranged is much better now, plus being able to cap out three weapons at 900k + xp is a big bonus.

There is absolutely no question that FS grinding since the CU is far faster. If you master an elite ranged prof then make sure you master the marksman box that way you can cap at 1.2 mill for the elite prof and 900k for the other two weapons. This also works in the same way for melee. In the old system you either capped ur elite prof quickly and made quick trips tot he village or u capped ur prof(s) and capped combat xp. Either way it was arduos and very tedious. At the most you would make 160k of fs xp (30k for two elite prof caps) and 100k for capping combat xp. Since CU you can make 80k for two elite profs (1.2 mill x 2 /30) and 30k for the other ranged/ melee weapon, plus 400-450k of combat xp. This has the potential of giving you 200-260 fs xp per capping session. I also know by experience that capping isa little slower when you compare it with a swordy spin attack on a gurk/ baz nitch lair, however you dont waste time buffing and you only need to hit one animal once to get the full XP. Not only that but xp was capped at 5k in the old system whereas you can get up to 7k with inspiration buffs on a lvl 82 bantha lair.

The CU is a great success and I am loving every minute of my gameplay now. Well done the Devs.

I've been killing the sith for my phase 4 quest, and the CU isn't bad at all. Combat is awesome.

Problem is either TKM is slow at killing, or I just suck. I focus on a sith and some ranged guy shoots from behind, does more damage, and takes the kill. Is ranged really better? What should I respec to, if I were to go ranged?

That and I looked around and nobodys on dantooine or dathomir looking for an FSXP grind group, maybe it's because everyones at the village though.

Grouping is best. One hit, and as long as your group does most of the damage, everyone gets credit.

TKM isn't as heavy on damage as it used to be... you'll want to add in some Swordsman, maybe, for the damage specials.

Welcome back

I have returned to this game after 9-10 months in WoW. What I've found is that joining a gurk hunting party and grinding like that is pretty nice (atleast on Starsider, Lok seems very bustling with hunters that want to group)

Some more advice would be to grind level 80 missions on Dath instead, because the Village is located on Dath. Whatever floats your boat I guess.

Anyway, good luck...
