The jedi padiwan old musician trial is seriously bugged. In this quest you go to some planet to talk to a musician who tells you to talk so someone at Mos Eisely, who then tells you to talk to someone on Lok, and then you go back to the original npc who gave you the quest to get credit for it. Seems like a simple quest that should take 20 min, right?..................
The waypoint for the 2nd npc is right in front of the Mos Eisely Cantina and will not spawn the npc. I have reset this quest over 20 times now and the exact same thing happens everytime! Have tried getting killed and cloning, then resetting the quest, as well as restarting the quest after a server reboot. Guess what...nothing works and this quest is totally bugged. There seems to be no way to work around this trial. These trials are randomnly given and you just get the luck of the draw. I have completed 6 quests so far but an now stuck from further progress as the npc for this trial will simply not respond.
DId a csr ticket and it is amazing to be told there is now work around this issue. There is nothing CSR's
will do to help you in game. The holocron help on jedi padiwan trials says that they will not respawn npc's for you that don't spawn. This is amazing that something so simple can be so totally broken and nobody as SOE will even make an effort to help you. Customer service is getting pretty bad now..it takes a week or longer to get a respons to a routine ticket, and then they tell you they can't help you (there is now way they can work around npc's not spawning)and just close your ticket without even trying to ask you what the problem is or offer you the chance to provide feedback about your in game problem. It seems as though it is a waste of SOE time and resources to provide anything other than a canned and scripted response and then just close your ticket and move on to the next one and repeat the process. The current CSR system and the way it's implemented does nothing to help the vast majority of players who submit tickets, and is a big waste of SOE time and personnel resources.
It would be nice if a CSR would actually take the time to contact you in game and try to help you get a serious issue like this resolved but they no longer seem to do this as they are overwhelmed with CSR tickets. All I can say is that if you post these issues here in the forums, somebody will see them and they will get more attention than they would from submitting a CSR ticket. The Devs need to realized how messed up the jedi padiwan trials are for everybody. Lot's of people are having problems with their trials not spawning npc's, causing them to redo many of the trials multiple times. This is so sad and should not evenbe happening. These bugs have been around for a long time and still haven't been fixed....it's as if nobody really cares about fixing major issues in the game. It seems to be more important to keep pushing new fresh content into the game for the stream of new players now who want to play after watching star wars episode 3 movies. These new players have no idea how badly bugged and borked this game really is!!!!! The current state of the game is truly a sad legacy for swg.

Actually, I can sympathize. Whether the musician is your first Padawan Trial I do not know, for me, it is the third. My experience thus far is that they are ALL bugged with the spawn issue. So far:
First Trial: Visited a Force Shrine 7 times before the NPC spawned at the given location
Second Trial: Visited a Shrine 4 times before the NPC spawned
Third Trial: (Musician) Visited a Shrine 2 times before the NPC spawned, went to Lok, spoke to that NPC and was given the ring, return to the Musician and just as I walk up to him to converse and complete the quest, POOF, he de-spawns.
